My car is now Status 150 and "in production".
I have its VIN and my Conf. Prod Week of week 46.


So far....its showing 6U3 BMW Live Cockpit Professional.

No suggestion of anything (else) being removed.

Has anyone had experience of spec changing after 150 status?

Were you able to decode your VIN to find the options? I’m trying to figure out if mine has a touchscreen or not. Just went into production begins today.

My experience is that you’re usually not able to decode the VIN until production is complete.

My build:

11/01: Production begins (Status:150)
11/09: Deletion of backup assist (Touch screen delete) got updated in BMW my garage.

Also BMW Genius confirmed it earlier than 11/09. They should be able to see all the deletions way early in the process.

I'm also a week 46 X5 M50i build with a production date of 11/16 with no deletion showing. I'm crossing my fingers. I'll keep you all updated.

My "guy" confirmed that touch screen and backup assistant is/will be deleted from my car that got its VIN assigned Friday (11/12).

I hope it can be retrofitted when they become available again. Until then we all need to practice our iDrive knob skills or voice command precision :/

I am new member to this forum. I would like to order 45e but none of the three dealer near me have an allocation for 2021.
Anyone know any dealer in midwest with allocation for 2021 and get me the vehicle before 2021?

I located a incoming allocation to a dealer in VA. It was already at 150 status with no deletes. I placed a deposit and within a few days the Delete BU Assistant appeared in the list of standard equipment. Touchscreen delete goes along with that. Since the build already had a few compromises, the dealer refunded the deposit and I ordered the exact build I wanted locally. Will just live w/o touchscreen (1st world problem).

Roseville. Ordered in August, B&W and massage seats got deleted on me right before production.

I had all the options checked, other than the climate package. I don't think I've ever used the heated steering wheel on my current car, and the button placement bugged me.

I'm bummed they pulled the B&W on me before production. The massage seats... meh. Although it stung a little to see it's on the configurator again as mine was being built yesterday.

You absolutely would not be able to build and deliver the vehicle before 2021.
