Goodbye M2, Hello X5!
Picked up my new X5 today...bittersweet because I am trading in my 2018 M2...the kids have grown about a foot since I bought the M2 and it just got too tight size-wise...I am happy about the X5 but the don't think I'll ever forget the M2, the first car I had that I ever really loved...
Although the DCT was a little chuggy when cold and driven at low speed, and the N55 engine got a bit wheezy at high RPMs, the M2 was a hoot to drive. Could be one of the last cars with any real "analog" feel left. I will miss the burbles and pops from the exhaust system (especially loud when in TRACTION mode). It looked so sexy with those flared hips, and I got tons of compliments on it over the years. Anyways, here is my order timeline: 10-22 order 10-28 prod begins 11-07 entering assembly lane 11-08 quality check 11-10 awaiting carrier assignment 11-15 dispatched from factory 11-17 at dealer (!) - I was out of town so had to wait to pick it up 11-22 picked up My X5 is affected by the touchscreen delete, which I was a bit annoyed about, but I never used the touchscreen on my old car so I hope it will be fine. And here's a pic of the outgoing and new rides...

Nice pick up - I'm fortunate enough to have been able to keep my M2 whilst also getting the X5. I actually love driving both of them - you'll definitely enjoy the X5!
