M50i just hit prod code 160 -- no deletes shown

Just talked with my military sales rep and was informed our M50i is now in 160 status, so it's out of production. The great news is he doesn't see no deletions what so ever in his system, and just sent me the build list. FYI, ordered it in late July and had a week 45 production date. While we were talking about what's all going on with builds destined for US dealers, he stated they were never sent a letter from BMW about the touchscreens, backup assist, or the 11 Nov software hold. Maybe US military sales overseas was not affected by all this, or maybe I'm just damn lucky. Time will tell once it's finally delivered and try the touchscreen, backup assist, and hitch a trailer to it.

Congratulations! We have seen a few members post the last few days stating they don't have the touchscreen deletion. Sounds like the they got some touchscreens in. One member is going to have theirs physically verified tomorrow to make sure there is indeed a touchscreen.

Sure hope it does have touchscreen. I also checked mdecorder.com and it also shows no deletions. This makes me feel way better since I'll have to pay for it prior to seeing/touching it.

I just hit quality check. My Garage doesn’t show any deletes but….can that be trusted at this point? Trailer hitch is there too. I have made peace with not getting a touchscreen but it would be nice.

Have your CA run a Vehicle Inquiry just to verify it, sometimes the tracker is behind.

I just spoke to the genius line. They said there were no deletes. I have touchscreen and trailer hitch. I won’t truly believe anything till I see it myself. He said his system is very accurate. Car will be at dealer Sunday.

ETA confirmed with my dealership that there are no deletions on my build.

I spoke with BMW NA and my new dealer today and both confirmed that touch screens are back. It was literally a two week period they were removed if not less.
You would have seen it removed at this point so this is great news for you!

Thank you! It’s my first BMW so I’m very excited.

I wish BMW would make it right for the others though. I’d be so upset if I received a car with no touchscreen and within a matter of days the issue was resolved.

Ask your sales rep for the build list, or punch in your VIN at mdecoder.com

I used the devtool with a browser and a got the list and confirmed in order guide, thanks to everyone. Mine 45e also has a touchscreen (not deleted) and has a hitch. finished production today.

My understanding is overseas mil cars are US spec cars? Does your VIN decoder as a North America model?

Wow! If this is true I really hope they do some retrofit program to allow customers that got their cars during those two weeks to get a touch screen.

Correct as they are US spec and mdecorder.com will work. Now myBMW does not work for us as it only works for BMW heading to the USA.

My 2022 M50i didn't come with wireless charging or wifi hotspot. However, those 2 items were not in my build sheet anyways (they were already moved from the associated packages) when I ordered in Canada.

Awaiting final delivery of my M50i as well. Should be delivered sometime this week or next week at the latest. No deletes on my build as well but time will tell if I got spared. Delivery will be at Euler in Kaiserslautern. The wait is almost over🤞.
