Arctic Grey with Cognac

We are debating on ordering Arctic Grey with Cognac with the following:

InteriorCognac Vernasca Leather
Aluminum Tetragon trim

Options
20" M Star-spoke bi-color wheels
Driving Assistance Professional Package
Executive Package
Luxury Seating Package
Parking Assistance Package
4-zone automatic climate control
Heated Front Seats, Armrests & Steering Wheel

Any suggestions on getting anything else

I'd suggest going with the M Sport package and extended shadowline trim. To me it makes all the difference. I don't like the look of the X5 without it....it was a must for me.

I would recommend going with Marino Coffee leather instead. It just looks much nicer in person compared to the mustard cognac look.
I have the exact same spec with coffee and arctic grey.

Thank you man. How about Coffee Vernasca Leather? Is that more darker than Marino Coffee?

I have a very similar build in progress. Had selected coffee initially, but then liked the cognac when we saw it in person and changed to that. It is lighter so makes the cabin look more open and luxurious. Actually ivory was even better, but not worth the effort it may have required for upkeep.

Had also selected aluminum trim at first, but switched that to anthracite poplar that seems to blend better with cognac.
I also went with the red calipers.

Get the Carbon Fibre trim, that looks great with Coffee seats.

Our 19 is AG with coffee, and its a great combo. Dark shadow line is a must. It was not available in 19, so I had to do it myself (black grill, painted badges, exhaust trim). We have tetragon, like it, for our 22, went CF (still has coffee interior)

I have the Artic Grey with the aluminum interior trim and brushed stainless exterior trim. I bought it off the lot when pickin's were slim. My only regret is getting the interior aluminum trim and brushed stainless exterior. I would go with a woodgrain interior (more lux) and definitely shadowline if I could do it again.

Congratulations. So hard to choose between Cognac or Coffee Vernasca Leather. I never seen the Coffee Vernasca Leather in person but saw Cognac with Carbon black with aluminum trim, it went very well. I know Cognac is really lighter than coffee but hopefully goes with AG.

Do you mean that you got the X line (not the M Sports line)?

Right now there's only two wooded interior trim options (matte or glossy).

I would recommend upgrading to Merino leather, especially for just $1k in your build.

Similar leather on a Mercedes GLC/GLE costs $3k-$4k.

@ GS2019: Cognac vernasca leather matches my Sophisto Grey exterior. It's a lighter hue, a little on the orangey side. But a stunning contrast as you can see below:

There's actually just one coffee and I believe its called Vernasca and not Marino.
I might have misspoke. But coffee does look much nicer than cognac. Also not as common as cognac.

I don't like the trim I have. I would rather go with matte wood trim instead of the gloss one I have. Definitely not the aluminum trim.

Pickin's were slim at the tail end of the 21MY. I couldn't find a Shadowline on any lot.

I get my new 40i tomorrow and it comes with Carbon fibre, I'll post a few pics.

A few other members here have posted some pics, it looks really great in a car like the X5.

Try this:

Fast-forward to around 2.14 when he gets to the interior.

I hope BMW haven't removed it as an option, but wouldn't surprise me as they seems to be

We were going to get Coffee because we wanted the brown wood. We could not accept when seeing in person. We gave up the brown wood because Cognac is more important for us. Didn’t like the matte wood at first. But only aftet a few days we quickly learned that is the better match for Cognac. After almost a year still have smile on my face when I walk to the car.

Most of Cognac on the lot came with matte wood. So kudo to BMW. They really got the combo right. Coffee was too dark for us. I have dark graphite btw. Love the combo.

Congrats James. you are lucky as Carbon fibre is not an option for the new Build of X5. When did you order yours?

Coffee interior is underrated. Makes cabin looks classy and luxurious, never liked lighter browns like Cognac.

I have Coffee with Mineral white, amazing combo!

Also don't forget to get the glass controls.

Coffee is not too dark, you need to see it in person. Remember what is dark for others may be neutral or light for you. Sharing a couple of pictures in different lighting conditions.

I was fortunate enough to find a car the dealer already had in storage (off the lot).

Its an late April 2021 build, and came with the M Sport package (including M Sport exhaust), Full shadow-line external trim, Carbon Fibre interior trim, and 22" 742M wheels.

Its a pity you cant order the carbon fibre internal trim anymore, another casualty of 2022 builds.....

Watch out for Heads-up display, I also heard that has now become an "option" for new order/builds.
