Hi all!

This is my first post on these forums and the idea would be to help others trying to get an idea of timelines for custom production of their X5s.
I am getting mine via BMW of Manhattan.

Timeline
Ordered 10/9/2021, production week 47 (~ Nov 22nd)
Picked up 11/27/2021

Ordered: 10/9/2021
Production begins (VIN received): 11/12/2021
Exterior Body Assembly/Paint Booth/Entering Assembly Line: 11/19/2021
Assembly in progress/Quality Check/Final Assembly/Ready for transport/Awaiting carrier assignment: 11/22/2021

I ordered my X5 45 in Nardo Grey with blue/ white interior. Every option checked with blue brakes.

My initial order was end of August, took a couple weeks for approval and now my scheduled build date is 12/5 .

Now I wait and see if the touchscreen and other features are there. I'm told by my dealer they confirmed all options remain due to order dates and M sport package / individual color and interior. Fingers crossed

They wouldn't know at this point as to whether the touchscreen would be there or not. That decision is made at the factory at the time of assembly depending on availability. Options, color, etc. has no bearing on whether the touchscreen has been deleted or not from what we have seen. The good news is that the recently completed vehicles seem to have the touchscreens so hopefully the supply problem has been solved.

Nice! It's so strange how some cars go in after but come out earlier...
I would have loved 22" with black rims but unfortunately couldn't do that with the 3rd row option, something my wife really wanted.

(We only have one kid so I don't know if she's trying to tell me something............)
