First of all, I just want to thank everyone here for the amazing support and guidance on my new X5.

I received a surprising call from the local dealership yesterday that my 2022 45e was ready to be picked up (which I honestly thought was a spam call as I just placed the order less than a month ago) and I was told that the Touchscreen & backup assistant will most likely be deleted, but to my and the Sales Advisor's surprise it was there when I went to pick it up. Most surprising is that my Sales Advisor nor I never received any notification on the production date or if the order was accepted as I was originally told it would take 14-16 weeks (was told to expect arrival around February of 2022).

Here is my configuration:

• M Sport
• Arctic Grey Metallic
• 20" M Star-spoke bi-color wheels, style 740M with all-season run-flat tires
• Cognac Vernasca Leather with Aluminum Tetragon trim
• Driving Assistance Professional Package
• Executive Package
• Luxury Seating Package
• Parking Assistance Package
• 4-zone automatic climate control
• Heated Front Seats, Armrests & Steering Wheel

Both Touchscreen, backup assistant and the front seat rear ambient LED light was included

Sounds like they got an earlier allocation…or your exact build was available via a swapped allocation. Secretly hoping it wasn’t that though and my build will be accelerated as well!

all my wife's bimmers since 2008 have been Dark Graphite Metallic, and i wanted something different for my first bimmer. i've already had Dakota Grey with a previous Audi Q7, and i almost went with Phytonic Blue, but when i saw the swatch for AG, it wasn't straightforward grey nor blue but both. this difference is personally what i liked about it (plus i'm a Hoya alum). my wife thought i ordered DGM, but when i rolled up the driveway, she exclaimed, "whoah! it's got blue, too. neat!"

Touchscreens came back a week or so ago at least on a temporary basis. Hopefully the supply becomes normalized and they stay.

I just put money down on a “in production” unit and can second that. They supposedly secured more touchscreens earlier this week for December builds.

Yeah this is why one should see a color in person to decide. What about the Cognac? Was it a good choice? In any case, the negative feeling will get less once you spend more time with the car. The color may grow on you too. As the weather has been chill recently, my DGM looks more like black. I sometimes wish I had gone with Black Jet. But I only see it a few times a day so it's not bad. Inside is more important. Congrats and enjoy your new ride.

Love the inside combination. No regrets at all.

The AG color looks more of an older vehicle when driving behind the X5.

I have a good relationship with my CA and he was able to get me and my coworker 6% off msrp along with the Penfed rebate.

I bought an m2 comp from him a few years ago and my coworker bought the new m3 comp for himself, an x5 45e for his inlaws, and another 45e for his parents.

My m2c had no discounts aside from the European Delivery.

No dicounts on my coworker's m3c.

But 6% off all 3 x5 45e's (1 a couple months ago, 1 a month ago, and 1 coming in December…hopefully)

My dealership said they also tinted the front-side window glasses for free after they received the vehicle (and did not charge me for it). Is that true that these come without any tint (front side windows).

i wanna say they have a slight bit of tint built in. interesting they 'tinted' yours for free. Did they say how much tint%?

I've attached a photo showing 35% tint on my front passenger window. how does yours compare? if you do a search, you'll find before/after photos to determine whether or not yours was really tinted.
