Ordered a 45e last week. MSRP minus Loyalty ($1000) and Drive for Hunger ($1000). I worked with nearly every dealer in Chicagoland - all held at MSRP, some were MSRP + a upcharge.

Ended up going with Laurel BMW in Westmont bc the SA was fantastic.

Ordered on Wednesday only could only get MSRP. I felt okay with that. A friend got KIA Telluride three weeks ago and paid +5k over MSRP.

If you’re looking to lease, you might want to check out Leasehackr.
I also negotiated with several dealers here in NorCal and all are selling at msrp plus a marked up money factor.

Finally found a great broker last week and put in my order at 4.5% off msrp plus base MF.

can you share the contact info of that broker? I visit LH as well and there are so many brokers on there, it would be nice to get a referral to a good one.

Absolutely! Their name is Clutch:
https://forum.leasehackr.com/t/clutc...-4-5/376192/31

Current deals:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...NscjGQFco/edit

And I hear you. I had also been researching and reading through several threads and brokers for months on LH until I finally pulled the trigger a week ago. Unfortunately a bit too late to avoid the Feb price increase (going into production week 5), but in this crazy market, this was by far the best deal compared to what dealers were willing to quote.

As said, currently waiting for production, but so far the overall process with them and the dealership has been super smooth and quick. Definitely recommend reaching out to them as I believe they still had a few allocations last week.

Good luck!

Just used their LH calculator for a sample X7 deal and it doesn't make sense tbh, the payments are higher than they should be. Unless I am doing something wrong..

Yeah, with those financing prob makes more sense. From what I’ve read across the board is, that they’re generally not great to lease from a financial standpoint. Similarly the Q8. Unless of course, you get an aggressive discount.

A few years ago, BMW was leasing 75% of the cars that got sold; they decided that was not good for the company to have all those lease returns and bumped up the numbers in their favor. Fast forward to today, and they not only have push up the money factor upwards more; but the dealers also can tweak those numbers, to get a monthly piece of that action for themselves. In today's market as a result, when you compare leasing a BMW vs Buying, the scale tilts dramatically in favor of the latter.

I understand the idea, but I work for a BMW dealer myself now and the LH numbers were higher than in my system?
I personally still prefer leasing my cars as I tend to beat on them for 3 years and just give back. This year is special and I was able to pull some equity instead of just returning my cars lol.

Plus 1 on the equity this time around.

But #s were higher for you on the X5 as well? Maybe it’s just in California, but I hadn’t seen any dealers thus far who were willing to discount the X5 at 4.5% plus base MF. (sadly still coming to terms with the fact that such a deal is is a win #shortage)

I went with the 540 this time and paying the same price with the employee discount 🤦🏻*♂️

Best is to leverage your relationship (ie - have bought a couple of cars), and as another said (be nice) - also patient and not seem like you're dying to buy it. They said they wanted to keep me as a happy customer and offered $3,000 off MSRP + 0 add ons + all rebates back in my pocket (this was my 3rd car from them). I consider it pretty good, given the times.

I got 6% off MSRP plus the PenFed rebate. Ordered car mid-October; picked it up early December. No prior relationship with dealer or BMW. X5 M50i. Had to buy in Wisconsin as the dealers in Twin Cities were only selling at MSRP.

What are folks seeing in late 21', early 22'? I got 3.5% of MSRP on a loaded X5 40i. They gave me $20K for my F15 (2014) X5 M-sport so that made the numbers look decent.

Located in twin cities also. No local dealers willing to deal. I got 6% plus $2500 in Rochester this Fall on 22 45e. Dealership experience was less than ideal but the savings was worth the short drive.

If you have a Costco Membership, they're offering -$750 off down in Rochester (I think Park Place?)
