BMW x5m competition f95 exhaust tips

Apologies if this has already been covered. I did try looking through the threads but couldn’t find anything on it.

Please can anyone advise if they have removed their exhaust tips from their BMWX5M competition F 95? If so, are they just friction fitted and do they tap off with a bit of gentle persuasion or are they welded or bolted on?

I would like to remove mine to clean them up and respray them, but wanted to check before I started the project. Thank you in advance

According to the repair instructions, they just pull straight off. There are centering pins so don’t twist them. Line them up and push straight back on afterward.
