I agree.
Even though I don't let the wheels get real dirty, they are still a major PITA to clean properly. Ugh, I hate both wheel types offered on the competition model. I know they are an old M wheel, but I wish BMW kept the simple design M wheel they used on prior generation X5M's and even the non competition F95 wheel. WHY make it so complicated with all the spokes? KISS applies to the wheel design. It's the one big complaint I have with the new X5MC. |

You guys that also list a link to the products you use are great. Thanks for taking the time to do it. Makes it so much easier to see what you are referring to.

Great thread, lots of good information, especially the links for the products!
I also use Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam with their TORQ foam cannon and a 2000 psi electric pressure washer, then I use the two bucket method. If it's cold outside I spray the foam cannon outside and rinse, then use Chemical Guys Rinse Free Wash & Shine in my garage. When drying, I use Chemical Guys After Wash with microfiber towels.

You guys should give that Koch chemie GSF soap a try. Love how slippery it feels and how even if it dries on the car a quick blast of water washes it off without leaving any residue. Fact is we can’t always wash in the shade sometimes and there is no way to do the whole car without some of the soap drying on it. Curious to see what you guys think. I am about to order the big jug of that soap.

My detailing is the local car wash, as I'll towel dry myself afterwards 🤣 As I'm a serial leaser, no point to ceramic coat or xpel, etc. Any swirl marks are gone in 3 years when I get a factory new X5M via PCD and the new owner has to deal with my turned in lease.
