Auto Brake feature

Today was the first time I have ever felt the auto brake feature. What set it off? Hard rain...

Didn't really know how to get out of it either? So any guidance here would be great. I just let the car brake then hit the accelerator a bit until it let me go.

Just wondering in what situations people turn the safety systems like this off? Seems counterintuitive to be turning it off in situations as silly as rain? Surely BMW tested this in far worse conditions to keep us safe right? - I would like to think that but somehow doubt that.

I would say yes, there was a cool video showing them testing with Ice, Snow, and heavy rain. I've not had something like this happen yet with mine. I know during a dust storm here in AZ many people from many brands complain their car will do that too.... Curious how long or far did you push the accelerator before it gave up to you? I am under the impression it should be instant...

Coming from someone who got in a little distracted fender bender in my F85, I wasn't sure if the F95 had this feature.

I ordered DA + and all safety features, does the F95 actually brake for you instead of just showing a red bumper and beep like the F85?

Does it work like all the commercials we see where cars brake if you're going to hit something/someone?

^^ The F95 actually brakes for you. I've felt it happen twice with mine where once it was legit sensing cars up front short stopping and another time where it got confuses as I was changing lanes and it hit the brakes for a split second.

Seems like the tech isn't quite there yet. What if it had hit the brakes while you were changing lanes and not let off while someone was driving right behind you? Would've been an unfortunate rear end collision.

Yes, it briefly braked once for me when a driver came out to the edge of the road from the side very aggressively and then let go once it was clear the driver was stopping and wasn't going to T-bone us.
