Thanks LexxM3 and others for your help. I just "coded" mine, version in signature. ADV works even without the PIA_FZG_UMGEBUNG_FAS setting.

Also enabled the following:

One touch turn signal 5x
ASD - not tested yet
Alpina - my fav as well
Tire temperature

I'm still only on 03/2019.53. .
You got ADV working on 03/2019.53?

Can the default startup mode be changed to sport/individual/plus? Can't find setting for PfFesMaster.

Yes, but not in Bimmercode, yet. See: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...29&postcount=2

Thanks, I missed that thread. I'll wait for BC to support it. G01 which was released earlier looks to have it so hopefully they can add this sooner in G05.

Hello,

I have a G05 and I tried to code my car everything worked fine but the carpet lights stopped working and the car will not unlock when I have the keys with me and walk to the car. I reverted back the changes and the unlock started to work but the carpet light still didn’t work. I had to get a BMW dealer to reset the settings and then it worked fine.

Just wanted to check if anyone else had this issue.
I am on Nov 2019 update.

Thanks

Haven't heard of this happening before due to Bimmercode coding. Bimmercode IOS or Android? What version of Bimmercode? What OBDII interface? What exactly did you code? Have you asked the Bimmercode developer about it?

Carpet lights changed operation in some configurations in version 11/2019.xx (and I believe 7/2019.xx as well) relative to previous, by the way. Actually, what you describe sounds close to the changes — now, when setting is to not unlock with approaching keys, no carpet lights. It actually sounds exactly like your comfort access unlock checkbox simply became disabled (accidentally or incidentally), and then also maybe the carpet light checkbox became disabled. Thoughts on this theory? Were you playing with settings around the same time?

I am using Android and the latest Bimmercode app 2.11.1-6048.

I coded the following items:
M sport Boot Logo
Tire Pressure Monitor with Temp
Video in Motion

I checked all the comfort access setting and unlock they were all checked. I un-checked them and checked them again still no luck. After I reverted the changes the unlock function started working fine but the carpet lights did not work. Had to get a dealer to fix the carpet lights.

I will contact the bimmerapp developer.

Thanks

Hm. No new ideas jump out. Will be interested to hear what Stephan says. Do you know what the dealer did to fix?

Maybe one follow-up. When you ran Bimmercode last (before the suspect coding), did it ask to update data and did you allow it to do so?

You'll need to enable it in iDrive, under exterior lighting.

Thanks a lot, will try and do that, thought this was done as in the F15, that it didn't show on the menu but only in bimmercode, cheers.

I thought the same, too, and found it was still 3 instead of 5. The same is true for assisted driving view, if you have that "unlocked" in expert mode.

Stupid question, but does the adapter need to be plugged in all the time, or do you code and remove?

Code and remove. I leave it in (so to speak) so I do t misplace it though, which doesn't hurt either.

"Coding" is not the best verbiage, it is indeed more like checking boxes or making hidden options available. BimmerCode is self explainable indeed

Well, it depends. Bimmercode is guided and pretty easy. Bimmercode Expert Mode is no more guided than ESys (perhaps even less without ESys FDL comments), but logistically much simpler (and orders of magnitude more limited) to perform than ESys. I would assert that unless you are mentally ready to go all the way to ESys, you shouldn't consider Bimmercode Expert — that's probably a little over-cautious with the typically simple and good advice on FDL parameters typically provided on the forum, but not a bad "stop and think" warning post.
