you can't yet not supported with android, only with iphone.
Correct. I recoded today and tried to revise the power tailgate. Got a coding error. Not able to code to close without holding the inside button and cannot close with the fob without holding the button down.

Anybody know if Bimmercode lets you code fog lights on with parking lights?

What adapter did you use to try to code and got coding error?

Just finished 56 pages of this thread...had one question that remains unanswered (or my scrambled brain missed)...
Will Bimmercode allow tail lights to be turned on as DLR's?
There are occasions when I notice outside lighting becomes low, but not enough to turn on auto headlights. Tail lights always on would be a benefit.

I haven't seen it available when I coded mine, unless I'm missing something in expert mode.

I used E-sys instead and VO code to add 8TL. As other experts here would tell you VO coding will reset items (but not all in my observation) that you previously coded, say with BimmerCode.

Last I saw, it was only available with the iPhone version but perhaps that has changed.

I'm not sure about the X5 but on the X7 there's an option to enable Day Time Running Lights. On the X7 when you select this option you get both front and rear DLRs. This option is available on the X7 without coding.

On the G05 X5 (and I strongly suspect identically on G07 X7) whether rear DRLs and their controls are available or not without coding is governed by region and ISTEP version (later versions provide more control).

I am not certain whether below is complete, but the following is worth a shot and can now be coded in Bimmercode expert mode (or will be possible shortly in case I've once again confused what is currently in beta and what is in production Bimmercode):

HU_MGU/00003E52 ECU
- DAYDRIVING_LIGHT set to standard [02] to enable front DRL checkbox
- DAYDRIVING_LIGHT_REAR set to aktiv [01] to enable rear DRL checkbox

Bimmercode on Android got a small update over the weekend to 2.21.1-6574 (BETA).

Included on the main ECU list is "Seat Module Driver" and "Seat Module Passenger", which for the moment only lets you control seat heating timeout. See screenshot.

PS did you see the options about ampelassistent (traffic lights), stoppschild (stop signs) and rettungswagge (emergeny lane)? Just in case you are able to solve them too!

seriously good work though.
Those 3 are not supported in the latest i-step. You can activate them in i-drive as per screenshots, but they won't do anything.

Coding shows they could be supported from 07/2020.x so fingers crossed as Traffic Light support (stop/start) would be cool.

Only issue seems to be legislative support, which I think is why Tesla haven't implemented it yet.
Has this been coded using the BimmerCode App?

Thank You. I just ordered a MX+ adapter & can go either way OS or Andriod, is there a preference on which is preferable?

Nice, any idea when it will be released? How to list for beta's?

I don't have an auto tailgate, mine is strictly manual (2011 X3) but I do have Bimmercode. Can I use it to code my tailgate to open when I swipe my foot under the rear bumper? Same goes for auto start/stop, I don't have that either but will Bimmercode code it in for me?

ha ha ha ha only joking I read about the sort of things you guys are coding and I'm jealous! Guess I'll just have to wait till I get a new car

Hopefully someone who is more familiar with it comes in but I think that the goal is to have the same features on each platform and both work equally well.

??? I dunno. One has the word "parking" in it and the other the word "driving" — those seem like different and, in fact opposite, activities and related lighting functions :-P. In other words, I likely completely don't understand the question.

Stephan clearly intends the functionality on the two platforms to be identical. But since he is one guy, each platform always lags or leads the other in a bit of leap frog fashion — sometimes Android is ahead in functions, sometimes iOS. And the beta versions on each fuzzify it even further. I personally have both Android and iOS licenses partially because I want to support Stephan's work, but I would just pick your favourite and stick with it if you don't want to pay for both.
