color

I have a BMW x5 ordered that is scheduled for week 29. It was bumped out due to executive package. I was just on line and noticed they added ametrin metallic to the color line. Are you able to make changes to color if it just says scheduled for production?

Yes! that means you are in 112 status and can still change options. Once it flips to 150 (VIN assigned), it is locked. Usually that happens about 2 weeks before production date

The exception to that is when you order an Individual item. When that is the case then there is a last change date that is usually a few days after the order has been received.

I just realized when I built it again it wont let me have M sport with that color ...bummer... will stick with carbon black metallic

FWIW, I would be very careful about "touching" your order if it contains the executive package. I can't confirm this 100%, but it seems like as soon as any change is made to orders that have options not currently available for selection, that those "grandfathered" options don't remain when changes are made. Watching some of the posts, it seems like this may catch the dealers by surprise too. I'm still not confident that my order will ultimately be built based on my selections, but I'm not touching it. Fingers crossed.

According to the latest pricing guide those colors aren’t available, looks like an error in the Configurator but the ordering system should be used to verify.
