Lucky you! Mines still stuck in QC. Do you still have the tailgate delete?

Maybe that means that they've resolved the problem and working through the backlog. My week 20 build is still showing in QA.

I hope since we had to wait so long that they will add the automatic tailgate to our build.

Mine was a 5/11 build. Since mine moved through, hopefully it means that all the others will start going as well.

I don't know how to check. Would it show in the standard features section on the tracker or would I have to use a VIN decoder?

It may be available for a VIN decoder at this point and I think you can still get the info using the F12 process. Here are the instructions for Chrome and Safari. You're looking for 032W under options.

Ok, after some work on this I figure it out. I see the 032W code in the options, does this mean manual or powered tailgate?

I found the "F12" trick to be cumbersome. If you're far enough along this is a great resource: https://www.mdecoder.com

A couple of recent deletions to look for include:

S6UX - deletion of touch function on iDrive controller (not the 12-inch touch screen)

S32W - deletion of automatic closing of lower section of tailgate

Decoder doesn't give you build status and production date. I just look at the one you use and it actually does give the production date. Thanks

So, if no 032W in your build, it's a powered tailgate? Just did this on mine and there's no 032W.

Did you use the decoder that x54MTbackroads advised? If you don't see the deletion below then I think you have the automatic lower tailgate.

what I don't understand is if W19 is stuck, why do W20 get shipped? What is so unique about W19? If is is part shortage, would BMW actually finish W19 first before they get to W20? Or did BMW ship W20 G05 at all?

They do not stockpile parts most arrive JIT for the production line. If there is an immediate scarcity then it would be for those vehicles that have them allocated for. Once the supply has recovered then the part is allocated to the vehicles yet to be built. This way they aren't constantly pushing back future production or constantly reallocating parts. It is easiest to have the production operate as normal and "fix" the originally effected vehicles outside of the normal production.

Touchscreen is one such component that can be installed in parking lot and doesn't require assembly line.

It sounds like the touchscreens were back ordered and unlike what happened last year, they didn't just swap in non-touch screens, they put the affected week 19's aside waiting for the supplier to deliver. They did and the 19's have been trickling out. There is no reason to believe they only replenished enough for week 19. At least that's what I hope. Week 22 for my wife's 45e, hoping to slide in with HK sound, power lower liftgate and touchscreen.
