Good to know folks are hitting 112 for October allocations, but we need to be prepared to keep jumping back n forth between 111/112 as the same has been happening for folks with prior Build weeks. I guess the Production week wont be fixed till we hit 150. Lets see!

It looks like a lot of us moved to production scheduled yesterday!

Ordered last week of September
Production number last week of September
Moved to production scheduled on 10/7
Dealer told me initially week 46, but that May very well move up. Right now the F12 inspect page trick does not show me a production date yet.

The f12 trick will not work unless you have received a VIN for your order.

Correct, nothing in the VIN or prod week yet. I can still do the F12 trick all day and convince myself it will move production faster.

Depending on where you are located on the East coast it will usually take 1 to 3 days, you should have no problem meeting the year end deadline.

I need a new car asap (old X5 got totaled) but having difficulty finding a combo I like. Do you guys think if I put in an order this week, I'll make it to the year end deadline for the rebate?

Assuming your location is correct (Los Angeles) the odds are you won't make it. Travel time to CA seems to be back to 2-3 weeks so you would need to get a November allocation for a build in the first week of December to have a chance.

Another way may be to reach out to dealers in the East and then pay for truck shipping to CA.

Good luck and let us know how things turn out.

I agree with TurtleBoy. Try and find a dealer in central or east coast who has active allocation and then if you get car before EOY either get it shipped by a 3rd party or fly over and drive it back. Also the dealers need to be OK selling out of state.

If you can get an allocation, you can try to get a PCD (Performance Center Delivery). They have been pretty hard to come by, but worth looking into.

You can have it picked up from there (fairly common) or make a road trip of it as well.

Thank you!

I spoke to my dealer and seems like November allocation is available. From my understanding this would mean the vehicle will be ready to ship end of November? Which would mean the car would arrive 3rd week of December?

Another worry is having shipping delayed since it will be during the holidays.

If I won't make the deadline (or cut too close to it) - I guess I'll stick to whatever inventory is available (which isn't much).

You're welcome.

No, not at all. The allocations coming out in November (late October) are for vehicles that are being built in December.

Ohhh okay, this clarifies it. So ordering is out of question at this point. I’ll choose from available inventory.

Thank you!

I've been looking recently like you, and my CA here in Vegas offered up some available ones in Encinitas BMW. Some good color combos there. Check their sister store in Vista BMW as well. Remember if you go to an AUTONATION dealer, they can usually move around stock amongst dealers - just depends though on how stingy some dealers are.
