Well, i'm cancelling my X5M60I order and going for an SQ8. I just can't see the point of owning a V8 that sounds like an inline 6. What are BMW doing?.. this is going to kill M60I sales.

I own a '24 M60i and do not like the Euro Weenie exhaust but it will certainly not "kill" M60i sales.
A near 600HP V8 should not sound like a Prius.

I agree completely that it's not gonna kill the sales yeah it causes some disappointment .
Are you running stock downpipes or did you mod the exhaust system?

I have not done anything as far as mods go as of yet but will likely make some change to the exhaust note but am not looking to spend thousands on a full system as I don't keep these vehicles long enough to justify it.
I can honestly live with it the way it is but will likely do something.
The M60i over delivers on it's promise of power as you well know and that matters more than sound. Backing out of an order over reading that the exhaust is too quite sounds like BS.

^^^^^^You cancel a 100K dollar vehicle which most people would consider very carefully prior to placing an order. You do so because you heard on the internet that it has a quite exhaust note and immediately cancel the order, ridiculous. Sorry but that sounds odd and rather trollish.
I doubt if anyone else believes your story.

The lack of sounds is one of the easiest things to remedy in a vehicle. BMW's performance exhausts sound wonderful. There are aftermarket alternatives as well. I paid BMW $100 for their performance sound pumped through the speakers. It sounds silly, but its excellent and negated my itch to spend $3.5k on a real exhaust. Its me who wants to hear it, not my neighbors.

I agree, the BMW exhaust "sounds" available on my M60i are pretty cool and I like them especially the way it backs off when you let up on the gas. I don't keep a vehicle long enough to warrant a $3,500- $5,000 aftermarket exhaust and the pumped in faux sound scratches my itch also.

I did it last year. My local shop fabricated a X-Pipe. It sounds great on cold start and no drone. But I still looking for more sporty sound but not louder.

Anyone know where to get a good deal on a mpe exhaust? With mhd stage 2, xhp stage 3, dp ect. It still sounds like nothing is going on back there. I need some sort of noise. I'm not guna lie I need some burpels! A vender on here maby? And anyone know the part number for the mpe g05 40i non m
