Thanks, I'll check this.

When I saw this was available (outside the U.K.), a few weeks back, I checked and it wasn't available then for the U.K.

If only the CD website allowed me to logon - get a system error.

Nevertheless, without logging on, I can see that it's now available so will get it whenever I can log on.

I've subscribed, but cant see it appear in the Apps section of the car, I assume that's where it will show up initially?

Subscribed a few days ago so was hoping it would be there by now.

How does this work then? Will you get a warning (visual and sound...) if your speeding and there is a camera van ahead?

Doubt it will have camera vans, think it will be red-light and other fixed cameras.

For camera vans, you need to be able to update back to the source, like Waze.

Mine's not active yet (no app installed) so can't test it, unless it's just part of the maps in the nav, so I'll need to drive where there's a camera to see if it's active yet.

I think it appears in the App list first, then setup/enabled from there

Mine hasn't appeared yet either by the way.

UPDATE @ 19:06 26/04/2021...... Just been out to the car, updated apps.... App is now there in the list. Says warnings will appear in the information display. Dashboard or HUD depending on your preference.

Mine took about 6 hours to appear in the Apps section. Signed up around 10am this morning and got in the car at 4pm then kept updating the Apps and it appeared after 4 or 5 goes at updating

You may or may not all be aware that if you have an iPhone the new 14.5 update will also include speed camera traps in apple maps. Not sure if or when it will be in the UK but these are the details...copied from MacRumours:

Crash reporting and speed traps in Apple Maps

Long a feature of Google Maps and Waze, Apple Maps users in iOS 14.5 will be able to share crash reports, road hazards, and speed traps in real-time to help navigate around traffic. It’s unclear how the system will work, but presumably, Apple will collect all of the data and offer alternative routes when things get backed up.

It comes up in the HUD as a big camera icon and distance to the camera, disappointingly it doesn't show in the iDrive native map though.

I guess that because the maps would need updating very often whereas it's easier to update the Camera app data (not even sure how often that happens).

You can choose to have the camera icon showing in the instrument cluster instead of the HUD.

Worth it if you use native iDrive navigation, if you don't/won't then stick to Waze/Apple Maps etc.

I've gotten them several times around NYC with no guidance active, so yes, I believe so

Thanks, I would assume then if I have car play running with Apple maps guidance then it will continue to show?

Apple maps has speed camera on the maps so that would be great if it still shows on the HUD.

I got mine yesterday and it works great 👍🏼 however I noticed something odd. I have set it up to display warnings in HUD, but when I switch off the car and get back after a while, after starting to drive, i noticed it had automatically switched to display in instrument cluster. Any reason why? Has someone else has noticed this?

Im sorry but I'm new to this and haven't ever added apps before - could someone advise how I add this app to my car??

When I search in via the ConnectedDrive website I get "Service is not available for your currently selected vehicle."

I have a 2019 G05 xDrive 40i.......
