It seems like all of us that have an M60i are impacted… I also know that we don’t fully understand the performance enhancement, but for the fun of speculation while we wait, do you think the fix will improve fuel efficiency or did BMW decide that they need to dial down M60i power to leave room to improve performance in midlife 😀?

That would be nice! I get better milage than an Acura Type S LOL.

I have smelled gas a couple times inside the car, I am wondering if that has something to do with the issue.

Was supposed to be picking up my brand new 25 M60i (built last week on 4/9) and dealer won’t let me get it until this recall is resolved… so bummed now I have to wait. He said it didn’t even show what the code was for so if anyone gets updates on the issue and how it can be resolved please keep us updated!

Bummer. Same thing happened to me last August. Ended up being a software fix and delayed delivery by four days. Hopefully yours will resolve quickly.

Must be curse of the M60i’s.. thanks for the insight, hopefully it’s the same case now! Just a small software issue or something easily fixable

Gas smell inside the car sounds like it needs a full check, it could be dangerous.
