Well, my X5 has been dispatched to the port, presumably to get assessories installed since I am PCD.

My FiL's X5 was built yesterday despite having a 4/17 production date still and it is awaiting carrier assignment. Not sure if his will be port dispatched for assessories.

Anyone know what assessories are installed at the port? I ordered floor and cargo mats, trailer hitch and space saver spare. FiL has hitch and space saver spare but no floor mats ordered.

The hitch and spare are not accessories. The items that have to go to the port are ones like floor mats, wheel locks, cargo mats, etc.

Mine was moved up from 4/20 to 4/18 and then started production today, body is done, paint is done and on the assembly line a day early!

Actually they may get penalized. If at least three monthly payments are not made then BMWFS may chargeback the dealer for any incentives.

Once it gets on that truck it'll be there in a flash. Also there is often some delay with code changes and it could already be otw!

Similar here. My 40i was scheduled on 4/19 but now it's sitting on 153 "Entering assembly line".

How's yours now?

Make sure you’re using mygarage on bmw’s website to track it because the app is super behind! The app would show progress a full day late when I was tracking mine

Sometime their tracking just gets stuck too has been my experience over the years and many cars. My X3M was stuck at quality check for a week a few years ago, was at the dealer and still said quality check for a few days. Same with the carrier stuff, sometimes it is long on the truck and moving when it says waiting for carrier assignment. At best it is a bit behind at worst days behind.

Well, my FiL's X5 X40i arrived at the dealership today and he is going to pick it up tomorrow.

Mine is still at the port for port-installed assessories. Neither US nor German recall sites has my M60i on hold, but will have to wait and see. At least I have until 5/23 before PCD.

Signed contracts and paid for ours today. Dealer experience was slow, but painless and the pricing was better than most are getting with a broker. We are very pleased and would recommend them to anyone so far. It was built Monday and we pick up at PCD on 5/9. Anyone on here have a delivery that day?

Mine is on a truck, due tomorrow or Wednesday - they started building on 4/17, finished on 4/18. When I talked to genius they said they were running a couple days behind on trucking so it was taking a few more days to get on a truck after the build, so took about 3 days to get on a truck for me (I am in the north east so only 2 days up to me)

UPDATE: Well, my X5 arrived at the dealership this past weekend...was planning to pick up on Saturday this week. Just got a call from the CA stating that there is an issue getting the navigation to upload/install. She states its the same for other vehicles that came in on the same truck...and doesn't think anything else is involved, but the engineer is still working on it and checking all systems. She gave me an option to take the car this weekend if I want (not a hard stop sell), and have the update/install done locally when it is available? (The dealership I purchased at is a 2 hour drive). Thoughts?

Wow! That a tough call...

The right thing to do is wait until they fix the issue. That is four hours on just drive time. Easier Said than Done, right?

Which trim did you get?

I would recommend you not pick it up until everything is working as it should be. Don't take the chance of getting stuck in a situation where your local dealer doesn't put the effort into making sure everything is 100% in a timely manner. Not saying that would happen but there is a chance. We have some dealer who will not give a loaner vehicle unless you purchased from them and some will also put those customers to the back of the line in terms of priority service.

Right! Been waiting patiently for awhile now. Started off with the 50e since December and that got ridiculous. Switched to the 40i in March, and now this!
Annoying. Hard enough to wait 4 more days much less now having to go back into an unknown holding pattern. Hopefully they will have this worked out before Saturday. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I did the same on switching out from a 50e. Did not want to take the risk. Turtle is right, just wait it out and make sure everything is to your specs and do not let the dealer persuade you. I see this happen very often, Miami, enough said.
