Week49 Production Week X5 45e Gather Here!

Hey lovely people with Week 49 Production week. Please share here about your order timelines.

I have week 49 and my production started on Nov 13th. Automated 800 said my estimated completion date is December 3rd.

Curious to see what you have have in terms of the timeline.

Also, any guess on how long it takes to ship? I am in Boise Idaho.

Thanks!!!

Per previous post, I had a 12/1 completion date that was recently adjusted to 11/24. Hit production on 11/12.

Yeah, saw that! Thank you! Hope my dates can be pulled in as well. I called the 800 automated number again and it still says estimated to finish on 12/3 though.

I also have an 11/24 production day as per genius phone call.
I guess they produce a bunch of 45e all at once ? I thought they would blend in with the other trims but it seems they are regrouped, that also make sense.

When was your original production week and when do your production start?

10/31/20: 45e Order Placed at dealer
11/02/20: Order scheduled for production
11/11/20: Production begins (vin assigned)
Genius Call (1-800-831-1117 )ETA: Nov 24th 2020 (as of 11/23/2020)

I only called the genius later on so I don't know if I was re-scheduled.

Week 49 .... Can’t get here soon enough....

Ordered in October....Week 49 cooktop from Dealer...”Production Begins” Status on 11/14.....phone says 11/30 for completion.....

I have noticed others posting their status and typically seeing about 10 Days from “Production begins” to real assembly and then 3-5 days for completion....

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Wow I wonder why my estimated completion date is so late on December 3rd given that my production started on 11/13(800 automated phone gave me that date). Did you call a real person at BMW genius to find out your estimated date? or you also used the 800 automated phone? Thank you!

Week 49 Build (45e) originally scheduled for completion 12/3, now 11/30 per BMW Genius (human, not automated).

Options include merino leather (not sure if it added any extra time to the build).

Update on my timeline... I am very frustrated as I am getting conflicting information from BMW on the completion date. Again I am week49 and production started on 11/13.

Automated 800 line told me: estimated completion date 12/3
BMW Genius iConcierge email response: 11/30
BMW Genius real person told me: 12/6.

you'd think BMW would have figured out their factory process by now..

seriously it would make sense for car ETA to change, if anything happen during the production, something get broken, missing, fail quality control... anything and the whole chain below is delayed. it can trickle down quickly.

at least we have some sort of approximation, but it is interesting for people to report here to see how reliable are these ETA.

my car is supposed to start assembly tomorrow 11/24, we'll see...

Interesting, I also posted on another thread
10/24 order 45e
10/30 start with wk 49 build
11/17 moved to step 3 and VIN assigned. Production line consistently saying 12/4 complete.
Of note, I'm also merino

Yeah I definitely understand that as myself also work as a supply chain management professional. It is frustrating because their reporting system is bad. I got all those 3 different dates above at the same time(within 10 mins) so not that stuff has moved around which caused date changes. They should have a single source of truth when quoting customers with estimated completion dates instead reporting in silo.

"Entering the assembly line"! Looks like the new quoted completion date was correct.

Same here, 6.30AM on 11/24/20 -> "Entering the assembly line"
my car must be right next to your RaleighStEclaire, what are your options ?

I am curious to see how the build date is based on similar options.

in just a few hours it went from exterior assembly begins at 6am to entering assembly line at 9am. and paint booth in between. so once it gets started it it on the line and it moves forward fast.
