For over a week I have had this Alert on the Activity page in the BMW Connected App.

Clicking on the notification does nothing.

My 2019 X5 40iX is on 3/2020.58

Any ideas on what I can try to get the 7/2020 update?

Hello,

Using your BMW Connected App on your phone, download the software update to your phone. Once your phone has it, the message will change and you can download it onto the car. There will be an option on your phone to use Wi-Fi only when downloading to the car. It was the only option that worked for me.

Thanks, I am aware ifnho things should work, but as l posted above the alert doesn't do anything. The app won't download the update. Wondering if others have seen tho and found a solution, other than going to the dealer.

Do you have more than one BMW on your account? I asked because my app showed the same thing but noticed clicking on it didn't do anything unless I selected the vehicle the update was intended for. Once I selected the correct vehicle on the Home Screen, clicking on the upgrade option became active.

Indeed I had my 440i also on the app. I have removed it and will see if that works.

Did that work? You didn't have to remove the 440. Just on the home in the app, you just pick your X5 so it shows on Home Screen then go back to activity tab and select the update again.

I had already deleted the alert. So I removed the 440. Uninstalled the BMW Connect app and reinstalled it to see if I can get the alert/notificarion back.

No luck.

Still nothing. I am on 3/2020.58. No new notifications. :
