11/02/20: Order scheduled for production
11/05/20: Called dealer to make an option change - order updated next day online.
11/11/20: Production begins (vin assigned) Genius Call (1-800-831-1117) -> ETA: Nov 24th 2020. Week 49 thread
11/24/20 6AM: Entering Assembly line.
11/24/20 6PM: Quality Check.
11/25/20 6AM: Awaiting Carrier Assignment

OK. Mine just moved to "awaiting carrier assignment". I am located in Boise. Called BMW genius today and got quoted a 10 days to Kansas City by train and then another 17 Day to Renton WA by train, and then truck to Boise(no ETA on the truck part). Does this shipping timeline sound reasonable to ya'll?

Hrmmm. Why is the car going to Kansas City and then back to Renton? I know it has to visit "port" first (surely the "port" isn't in KC?), then on to the dealer.

Looking at your timeline, it does not appear your car went to the "At the Port" status I keep reading about, which is located in Oxnard, CA? I had read that the cars ship from Spartanburg by train to Oxnard (usually between 8-11 days transit time), are at "the port" for a while, then ship to the dealer?

I believe the VPC is in Renton WA for my case. The train will make a stop at KS and then head to Renton.

Mine just moved to "dispatched from factory" called BMW genius and asked for bill of lading but that guy had no idea.

Any thoughts on how to track my car?

Enroute to the dealership. Called Genius for ETA and they said I needed to contact my CA - tracking transferred to CA once it leaves the factory. Left message and waiting to hear back.

Does your status show "dispatch from factory" or "in transit"? I believe it will need to go to VPC on the west coast first before it's actually enroute to the dealership.

My car came out on 11/30. You need to check with your salesperson or someone at the dealer....in my case the car is being trucked from Factory to Dealer in Denver. There is a way to track it by VIN but I can't remember how to do that.

Is yours 'dispatched from factory'? It looks like mine (heading for Loveland) and was 'assigned to carrier' on 11/25.
