24 M60i - Screens Not Working

Over the past few days, I’ve had some issues with the screens in my M60i and today none of them are working. Here’s a timeline:

Sat: Started the car and the center screen was black, ran some errands and when I came back into the car ~1 hour later, the screen was fine

Sun: No issues

Mon: Center screen was fine upon start up but turned black and unresponsive about 5 min into the drive. Car was off for about 30 min and had no issue with the screen when started back up

Tues (today): Car was fine this morning when I went out earlier. My wife just went out and said the center screen, cluster screen and HUD were all black and displaying no info.

I’ve tried holding down the volume button to force a reset (I believe that’s how it’s done?), but that didn’t do anything. I have an appointment at my local dealership tomorrow morning to diagnose, but has anyone run into this before? I’m really hoping it’s a software bug that can be fixed with a simple update and not a more serious issue, like an electrical issue. I’ll post an update once I hear from my BMW dealership but wanted to get some thoughts here, thanks!

I’m still having the issue even after the dealer “updated it”.

Honestly, not sure what to make of it.

Sadly it seems like a loose connector somewhere, and a long time at the dealers trying to find and fix it.

Dealer said it was a software issue and updated me to 11/2023.58. No issues so far, hoping it stays that way….

I had the same issue upon delivery of my M60i, I would do the reboot and that would fix the issue but then randomly when turning on the car either later the same day or next day it would happen again. I took it to the dealership they did a software update and that fixed the issue altogether.

That's good to hear, and reassuring for me since my ordered M60i is about to arrive.
