Just a sanity check example here. $3.95 x $0.395/kWh = 10kWh. Thus 30 miles if EV is doing 3mile/kWh.

However, when paying for 10kWh, you don't get 10kWh into the battery, you get about 8.5kwh. So this EV should run 25.5miles, not 30. Charging lost is real, and few EV owner even considered or even know.

I like this site. Hopefully put in a field for charging lost so a more realistic cost can be reflected. 15% isn't small.

Yes, that is why I mentioned it and said I use it for data and then do the calculations. I don't reduce range as that is not what happens, I increase the cost/kWh needed.
