Seattle - Portland, 10-12% off?

I'm from Alaska I'm thinking to buy 45e in Seattle or Portland and then to ship it to Alaska, because Alaska BMW dealer is greedy AF

Do you guys know is there any dealers who can provide 10-12% off MSRP?

The Seattle area historically seems to off the lowest discounts in the country. We had a member or two post recently that they are giving 0% off for custom orders. Hopefully others will chime on with different options further South.

I didn't shop around much locally (Portland) but was able to get 8% + incentives for a 45e order I placed a few weeks back. Would have loved 10%+ like some others, but I'm ok with where it landed.

Could you please PM what dealer you went, and maybe sales person/sales manager you have contacted?

Also, I connected with a broker in Boston and quote with 10% off before incentive and $499 broker fee. Leveraged this to negotiate with local dealer to take $7000 off on my build. My neighbor is ordering 45e with me but don't think that helps much on the negotiation.

Just wanted to share my experience, and thanks again for everyone who provided your value advices
Can you share the dealer info via PM? Looking to order a 45e in the New England area.

End up placing order with a dealer in ATL. The broker I first contacted was not responsive after several questions so DO NOT recommend.

What % off MSRP did you get from the dealer ATL?

Each deal is different as there are multiple factors that you need to keep in mind. I just want to share with you as this forum has helped me to get my dream car. You can get better deals, some people get 10%-12% msrp, it was not my case.

The MSRP was $82,145 plus $995 delivery
The invoice was around $77,216.30
The price was $2k under invoice - around $75,145 (around 9% msrp)
Then I got $4,500 ($1,000 Ultimate pre sales tax and $3,500 Road home event after sales tax).
NJ Sales tax of $4,892 and some small license fees, registration (dealer removed the doc fee of $699)
The Out of the door was around $75,200.

In a few months, I am getting the $7,500 tax credit for the personal taxes.

The cost of the car (after tax incentives) is $67,700, which is a more than reasonable cost for an X5 45e fully loaded.

Then, if you are business owner, you can run it through the company getting depreciation or full depreciation (Sec 179) and benefit of the 199A deduction (probably to be removed by Biden next year), so even better for your personal taxes.

I think that's a good deal. You can also get credit for installation of a level 2 charger at your home. 30% of the cost, up to $1,000 credit. IRS Form 8911.

He is not able to give 8% before incentives to me, which is a bummer. Still looking on 8% deal at Seattle/Portland area.
I can wait until March-April 2021. When is the best time to get a car, in the end of the year or at a spring time?

January is historically the lowest sales volume month of the year. I would try the last week of January and see how hungry they are.

What about California? Have anyone recently got 8-10% off before incentives in that area?

I will hook you up.

BMW Portland is a bunch of assholes. They screwed another person ordered as well and never gave him a production number for a month. He is on the forum. Just helped him yesterday to get awesome deal with confirmed production number. Saw his VIR today and he is very happy.

Good time to order is Dec since they will throw incentives. Since you are west coast, lock in Dec incentive for 90 days lock and even if you take delivery in Jan end or Feb first week, you can use Dec incentives.
