Thoughts on these lease #'s for G06 build?

Hey guys - thanks for all the help with the research. I wanted to see if this was coming together to be a pretty good transaction. I'm not in a major rush and if everyone thinks incentives could get better into next month or Dec (holidays), I can wait. Right now with BMW lease incentive at $500 I'm not sure if it could get worse?

Anyways if I'm missing anything let me know. I think 11% off MSRP is out there somewhere....

36 month/ 15k miles
MSRP = $89,845 (includes destination)
10% off MSRP = $80,861

Less: $500 (BMW finance lease incentive)
Less: $1,000 (BMW Corp program for X6)
Less: $500 (USAA or PenFed - I'm a full member at both)

Acquisition fee: $925
Dealer fee: $599
Broker fee: $325

MF: 0.00082 (or 1.9% which was verified on Edmunds)
Residual: 52% (verified on Edmunds)

Putting down 7x multiple security deposits (so $7,000, refundable with appropriate car returned)

Obviously it would be great to get a little more discount or lower fees but overall I think you did well.

FYI: USAA no longer does the car buying service or provides incentives. If you have an existing offer code sheet it can still be used.

Thanks. My broker said I can use USAA or Penfed (can't use both). Do you know if Penfed is still good?

Yes, they still have it. My guess is that they started doing it as the military discount (or as close as they can get) because USAA was going to discontinue it.

Solid deal. I am assuming the 7 MSDs will reduce your stated MF by an additional 35 bps. I would ask dealer to throw in winter Mats if they won't go to 11 percent. This will help offset broker fee.

Make sure they give you all the details of your cap cost and you recalculate the payment on lease hacker.

Also confirm they have an allocation when placing the order.

Finally have the purchase order include language that you get best incentives and MF in any given month between signing and delivery. So if you sign at end of Oct and it takes 6 weeks until delivery you get to chose the best of oct, nov and Dec lease pricing. Key is that your purchase order states this and you lay out all details of your pricing in the purchase order (to avoid any disputes about how best price is calculated).

This is GREAT advice, thanks. I knew this was a thing and it was certainly promised to me but hadn't thought to check about it in the contract.

Leasehackr is where I negotiated the deal - so I'll be verifying!

for reference, my X6 has an MSRP of $83,645. my dealer game me $8800 off. that boils down to about 10.5%. i got $1500 worth of incentives since i don't qualify for the other stuff.

my dealer did not charge a dealership or doc fee. all i paid was bank fee and $75 for DMV. part of that DMV fee will be refunded. they charge extra just in case.

your actual discount is $8,400. they took about $9000 off MSRP, but put $600 of it right back on there with that dealership fee. i also *think* they inflated the acquisition (aka bank) fee. i think mine was $750 ish. i think you got a fair deal. whether or not you think it's worth haggling over and extra $800 or so is up to you.

Must be nice....doc fees are all together avoidable from the brokers/dealers I spoke with. It's a shame, since it's just padded profit.

Agreed

I think the acquisition fee is set by BMW finance...everywhere I looked confirmed this was correct, unless your dealer just took additional $$ off.

It could have changed but I read it used to be that BMWFS set the fee at $750 and dealers were allowed to mark it up to $950.

BMW does set the fee, BUT, dealerships can mark it up an extra $200.

I guess with that note does anyone know if the BMW "set fee" is $750 or $950?

According to the website the acq fee is $925 but that could be just an example.

In spartanburg at the delivery center. What's nice is we can technically buy from any dealer in the US and pick up there, since we live so close!

Haha you're right. I was told by SA that PCD will add additional 6-week waiting time on custom order, so I have to visit ATL to take delivery this time.

Enjoy your new ride
