That would be interesting if there’s a carve out for safety recalls with no repairs available…

I called the genius/customer service for BMWNA and they confirmed it for me. Mine didn’t show up in the recall checker online.

Check your VIN at this site. I don't have a recall showing on the BMW USA site but get a 0034670200 code on this site. Says to book an appointment with your dealer. This showed up at about the same time as the brake recall. Mine was made May 2023.

I do not have any issue, it breaks perfect, dealer told me that they need to change the ABS pump as a safety measure. BMW found out that it was not well done and it can break anytime

The recall in 2021 was issued around the same date and they didn’t have a fix until May I think?

Mine says “remedy unavailable”
Surely they’re repairing by production date similar to the last time when there was a stop sale for the air bag on mine

It's weird because one place says remedy available and the other says remedy unavailable

Just got this from BMW, so, nothing for me...

Thanks for writing to BMW regarding the recall status for your 2023 BMW X5 M.

Recalls are specific to a Vehicle’s Identification Number (VIN), and our records show that XXX-2782 does not have any open recalls.

You can easily find out if your BMW has an open recall by entering your VIN on our website: www.bmwusa.com/recall. Please note that we require up to 30 days after the completion of a recall for data to be updated and recalls issued prior to 1999 are not included in the results.

Should you need to contact Customer Relations and Services again, you can reach us at 1-800-831-1117 Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET.

Have a nice day,

Kind regards,

Abigail

Confirmed with my parts dept that they're fixing this in some type of order. He said he sees the recall and the part but he can't order it for my VIN yet. I assume it'll make its way through like you said based on production date. He told me to call back in a month!!!

Madness a month I wounder if the part will be the same for all models effected ? And if they will do the models not sold yet before they do the registered models they don’t really keep you informed as owners you should not have to do all this to find out answers

It's annoying.. I was in the middle of a lease transfer when it came to a screeching halt cause of this and now I have to wait indefinitely

They do not do recalls in order of production date. They will send all affected owners a letter in April and then an appointment will need to be made with the dealer for a replacement.

BMWNA advised that they issue parts in order of production date/VIN# when the stop sale / recall for the air bag was pending. Perhaps something was different then or possibly now. Thats what and how it was explained last time. 🤷🏽‍♂️
