I ordered an X5M Comp the other day for an early April 2024 delivery. This is what I ordered: Dravit Grey, Trauma Brown Full Leather, Executive Package, B&W Sound System, CF Trim, M-Star Black Spoke Wheels and the Rubber Floor Mats.

I did not order the Active Driving Assistant option, It does not seem like something I need. Is this a mistake? Did I miss something?

I use the driving assistant all the time. Takes cognitive load off of driving on the freeway and stop and go traffic. Purists will say to manually drive all the time, which I get but having the assistant allows me to have the option to not have to manually drive when I want. I dont NEED it but it’s super nice to have and works for my driving style.

Ive found that full extended leather doesn’t seem worth the cost imho.
The leather by the lower door bins gets scuffed up…
2cents. Bowers upgraded sound system is a must.

that is a amazing lead time for April Delivery !!!! My dealer quoted 6 months

This is what the paperworks says, however, the building has not commenced yet. I live in Atlanta so shipping should be pretty quick.

Thanks, I cannot respond to DM's because I do not have enough posts on here. I appreciate the offer but I am making this purchase to get out of a 2023 Defender 130, which has some issues that make we want to get rid of it while the value is still high. Will you take it on a trade in, lol?

It seems like good technology but 95% of my driving is in a big city, I do not get on freeways very often. Would this really be useful in the city?

It’s a 1700 option on a 130k car. Up to you. I do not ever think to myself “man I wish I could have saved that $1700 right now” but that’s just me.

April is probably accurate if your dealer gets an allocation. I placed an order with a dealer last week of December. He got an allocation Jan. 14th and I had a production number and status 112 the next day (BMW My Garage). Car was built 2/1, I pick it up at Performance Center 2/27 this month. Exactly 2 months from the order date. Once you get a production number it's quick.

X5M comps are built in USA not germany ? Interesting, dealer stated all M cars are Germany. This would help with my decision building vs buying off lot to upgrade

All of the M SUV are made in Spartanburg, SC. Actually all of their SUV's are made there except one electric model that goes to China only, it is made in Germany.

The iX SUV is all electric, sold in the US (and many other countries), and is made in Germany.

Maybe I should look at it again. They did not really try to sell it to me, based on the SA's description it did not should like something I would use. I have this type of thing in other cars and I turn it off.

Does BMW have a factory or OEM camera option that installs on the vehicle? With Porsche you can order the car pre-wired for the factory camera. I did not see this option anywhere with BMW.

If no, what camera does anyone recommend?

Not sure if you are aware but it has been confirmed that in April BMW will be switching over to 2025 model year. Lots of talk about this on the regular X5 forum.

Ordered one too!

After trying to pick up a M60 to no avail. I took a chance and was able to locate a dealer w one allocation left. Should pick up the car next month!
