Tough one. Could say E39 because dad had a 528i until I was 5, could say E46 M3 in Laguna Seca because it's still a dream car, could say E64 M6 convertible because V10 in a car that's more art than vehicle, E92 M3 ZCP SG/FR because that car also covered my walls until some "life changing" stuff happened in a young boy's life. When I thought I found something "better" than cars

All in all though F90 M5 Comp has to be my take, imo its the most beautiful car BMW has made in a while, definitely the only good looking G-body. Stratus Gray/Aragon Brown please!

My problem is...I want them all. Shortly after I get one vehicle, I want something else. Sad, but true. If I had more space & $$$, I'd have a bunch!

Having come to the BMW world somewhat late, this is a great thread to read through, as I don't want car payments in retirement and need to choose soon!

I think that they only deliver them in Scandinavian countries, think "Cold Weather Package +".

Hands down, 1M. Hydraulic steering so that you can feel the road + great engine + small car. The new M4 is like a yacht compared to the 1 series.

Never been interested in any BMWs in my 37 years of being a carnut until the M2 (not the M2c) - good looks, fun daily, and sounds great (to me) ..So there it is

If it had to be stock: e46 M3 CSL (though I'd have to break the rules and 6mt convert it)

If it was my only car: My M3 converted e46 wagon

What I bought new and actually intend to own for the rest of my life (as a weekend, fair weather, tracked car): My e46 3070 lb (full interior, including back seat), 352rwhp (naturally aspirated) e46 m3 coupe. 15 years and counting!

... despite all of the above, I believe the e39 530i 5mt sport package to be the best overall car BMW has ever built.

i2s REX convertible.

i3 drive train needs to be placed into an F23

Tesla had a good thing with their original roadster, but their re-launch is into space, so, still out of reach

Only other open-top EV is the Formula E; now that the Gen2's are out, you'd think Gen1's would be readily available off-lease, but no dice

I love my 435i Convertible. I don't think there's another BMW I'd want to trade it for. If I want more performance, there's so much I can do to this engine... the car is great in the rain and even better in sunshine.

Although... an F1 BMW McLaren would look mighty fine in my living room. ;-)
