But did they say why? That's what I want to know, especially since there are functioning cornering lights on other models -- like our 2019 640i, purchased one week earlier than our X5.

How do you figure that? They operate as intended on other US model BMWs.

The laser lights, not cornering.

Yes, US regulations don't let laser lights work fully including the anti dazzle. BMW got an exception with their i8 years ago now with them being more mass marker for BMW I hope regulations let them function to Euro Spec

Every model is different to code. Just because the 7, 5 or whatever else can be coded doesn't mean the G05 can be coded. I've always done coding manually using e-sys software and I recall on the F25 and F15, enabling anti-dazzle required numerous changes. The F15 itself has over 100 small changes required to be done to make it function properly. Kudos to the guys who figure this out but it does take time and its not even guaranteed to work. Some vehicles have a physical difference in the headlight assembly making them non functional for anti-dazzle.

I'll plug in my laptop next week and take a look at what I can see and then what minor things can be changed. However, enabling anti-dazzle is beyond my skill set.

I guess what i'm trying to say is don't keep hopes up that:

1) This will definitely be available by coding and;
2) That this will be figured out any time soon. Given the lack of discussion on G05 coding on other forums, it's going to be 6-12 months i predict at the earliest until we see a decent amount of coding options available.
Only 2 or 3 ecu's are readable with E-SYS at this point. All the other files in the main ECU's are trimmed (unreadable). TM with have to get the leaked untrimmed files and load them into Launcher Pro before you'll be able to read anything to code.

Token Master. He's been the backbone of E-SYS and the Launcher software. He's the main reason any of us have been able to code.

Used to be, but not lately that I can tell. Usually email is the best way to get a hold of him.

Nobody posts them. He integrates them into his Launcher and psdzdata.

Gotcha, I'm probably asking too many questions but this is all new to me. Is there a place to download that?

Hop over to the bimmerfest forum in the Coding sub-forum. Token Master is active on there I'll ask him the question on there as well.

Unlikely for anyone to post them. And, if you have different I-Step, you would not be able to read your vehicle files.

I looked at files and only things I have not figured out vs other G-series (eg, G01, G11, G30), are the following:
  • NGHB - completely new architecture
  • Lowering Blind Spot
  • Camera at all speed

Just curious, but do you think these will be cracked at some point or are they just not likely to be cracked (as someone above suggested might be the case)?
