I waited over 3 months for my car, and put off posting my timeline until I actually had the car at home. Now to close the loop, here is my Hero's journey.

Specs:
Phyton Blue, Black Sensa, Driving Asst, Parking Asst, Executive, Wireless charging, Harmon Kardon
Driver Lumbar Only (48Y)

Jun03 – Order placed for MY2022. Got build sheet, paid deposit.
Jun08 – 111 – Order accepted, production number assigned.
Jun10 – 112 – Scheduled for production, ProdDate: Jul25
Jul19 – 111 – Went backwards a step. Freaked out a little.
Jul20 – 112 – Scheduled for production, MY2022 got converted to MY2023. Same production number. Premium Package not available, Required adding Executive Package.
Jul27 – 150 – Production begins, VIN assigned, ProdDate: Aug09 (ProdDate would keep fluctuating between Aug07 and Aug10, finally settled on Aug10 with F12, but Aug05 on bimmer.work. weird.)
Aug05 – 153 – Enter assembly line
Aug06 – 155 – Quality Check
Aug10 – 182 – Awaiting carrier assignment. Able to add VIN to MyBMW iphone app.
Aug13 – 190 – Dispatched from factory
Aug19 – 193 – At the port in Kansas City. Moved to next step the same day.
Aug19 – 195 – In transit. Scheduled to arrive in San Bernardino VPC Aug26 (this ETA was way off).
Sep01 - California Clean Fuel Reward ended. I lost $750, super annoying.
Sep07 – 193 – At the port (#2). Arrived at San Bernardino, released to transport company, scheduled delivery to dealer Sep10.
Sep12 – At the dealership, charging.
Sep13 – Took delivery. Incentives: Loyalty + New Grad.

Congrats cageybee! I would say laser lights isn’t exactly standard stuff. Thanks for sharing the timeline. I wonder if your car was caught up with that BNSF west coast embargo from earlier in the summer. One month from dispatched from factory to delivery is lengthier than I would expect. My car is one month behind in timeline. It hit dispatched from factory on 9/11 and needs to get to San Bernardino. I hope it won’t take as long as yours.

haha Shllshck, you're right about the laser lights, thanks. I still have a lot to learn about this car.

One month from dispatch IS a bit excessive. I think that embargo definitely played a factor, plus I'm sure Labor Day weekend didn't help matters...

Good info, thanks for posting. Mine is currently at 182 Released to Carrier as of today. My milestone dates:
112 - 8/26
150 - 9/1
153 - 9/14
155 - 9/15
182 - 9/16

Mine is "only" going to Western Pennsylvania, so hopefully it's a much quicker journey. :-)

Thank you for sharing this! The 23 we have on order was built 8/19 and dispatched from the factory on 8/22. Still currently in transit with original ETA to San Bernadino on 9/6. Looks like it's going to be over a month to delivery for us

Just called Genius. They gave me 9/26 as the estimated arrival to San Bernardino. Would still need truck transit from there. Questionable if I will have my new car before the end of the month.

Eggwoll, did you ever call Genius for an update? Looking at Cageybee’s timeline and the others in the Pacific NW on the week 33 thread, looks like 4 week minimum to get to the west coast from dispatched from factory date. This might be your week.

Genius was not able to provide any info on an updated ETA. I reached out to my CA who did some digging and reached out to the inventory manager. They were able to pull up a report for their in-transit units which indicated an actual arrival to San Bernadino on 9/20 for our VIN. Based on that info CA says we should most definitely be able to take delivery next weekend!
Definitely looking like a one month average once dispatched from factory for west coast bound cars…
