I'd says that is a pretty good deal. From everyone else's post. 10% off msrp is pretty standard. Anything above that is icing in the cake. Do keep in mind that 2021 is a few months away so that 2020 will have an even bigger discount.

Just for reference, I have a local dealership who is only offering 6% for a 2020 but the northwest dealerships suck.

You must live in the same part of WA as I do. I just contacted my local dealer - who has honestly been pretty good to me - about looking into lease-end options prior to October. I'm not hopeful the deal will be on the magnitude that many are seeing on here. I'm looking into X5 40i or X3 M40i - but was told that 2020 orders are closed with 2021 MY around corner.

I am in south eastern WA for reference. Narrows down the dealership lol. It's hard for low volume dealers to give big discounts because they don't see the selling incentives the big guys see. I generally travel to get the best deals but that idea has been shut down by COVID. A lot of dealers can be found with 10% off MSRP before incentives if you search for them. Just be willing to have the car shipped or make the trip yourself.

This 11.39% off pre-incentives is a pretty good deal.

Thank you for the inputs. I am learning a lot from this forum especially about custom build orders. I was not aware that even for custom build orders, the dealers will give like 8% to10% discount. Are there any major differences b/w 2020 vs MY 2021. Did I make any bad decision going with 2020 model. Do I need to be concerned about the quick depreciation as the new 2021 MY is just couple of months away?

Vijay, your deal sounds fantastic! For a list of differences for MY21, see https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1725735. In the short term, yes, MY20 resale values will take a quick depreciation hit, but if you're planning to keep the car long term, the difference should hopefully not be too much (ie, no facelift, no engine differences, etc).

Are you in So Cal or NorCal? Do you mind sharing the dealer name? Looking to purchase a 20 X5 as well, and most dealerships I've contacted are giving 10% off MSRP (pre-incentives) max.

Yes, I usually keep the car for 6 to 7 years. I live in NorCal Fremont area. Not sure whether I can share the dealer name openly in the forum. But, I hope you got the idea about the dealer.

If the manufacturer rebate region specific? I just got quoted for a cash deal with a manufacturer rebate of 3,500 and USAA of 2,000, but the discount before either was only 9% for a vehicle in under lot.

From my understanding, yes incentives including financing rates are region specific.
