X6 40i started production

I ordered my X6 back in April, dealer said my build would start in W27 but I got an email today saying my build had started..great news.
Does anyone know how long roughly the wait is from this point until handover, I'm based in the UK..?
My build as follows;
X6 G06 40i
Riverside Blue
22inch 746
Full Merino Ivory
Piano Black
Lasers
Tech Pack
Sky Lounge Pano

Sounds like we're in the same position. I ordered my X6 end of week 12 (day before lockdown started), and was told production last week of June. Latest I've heard is delivery to UK (Aberdeen) is last week of August, but they were hoping for delivery earlier. I'm not fussed either way, as they said I can wait until 1st September when new 70 plates come out - will be on a private reg, but would prefer it being a '70'

Yes, the same for me. If it comes down to a couple of weeks then I'll wait for the 70 plate as well..

Received a call today to advise my car has now been built - they will probably be on the same boat! Still scheduled to arrive in Aberdeen last week of August up until now.

Cool. Will it really take 2 months to get here ? And if it gets here say end of July, will you still wait until Sept 1 for the '70 plate?
I saw on another thread a way of tracking shipping progress using the VIN, I'll give it a go.

Our X5 took about 6 weeks from build to delivery, so 8 weeks I imagine makes sense given the current situation.

If it arrives earlier, I think I will still hold off until September delivery to be honest. I'm currently working from home, and we've been told of no return to the office until late August at the earliest - so it would just be sitting at home unused anyway until then.

Did your dealer give you the VIN number?

Makes sense. Yes, I phoned and asked for the VIN after I got the email telling me the build had started.
