Good deal?

What do you guys think of this deal? Financed with BMWFS and using loyalty and USAA/Penfed rebate.

I am planning to finance through BMW so I assumed the rebates should be 2500 (finance credit) + 1,000 (loyalty, I have a current BMW lease) + 500 USAA which would be 4,000.

Brand new car with 8 miles on the odometer. On the lot for over 3 months I beieve

That's over 14% off MSRP which sounds solid. I would just check on those rebates as it should be $3,500 at least.

I received this response:

"You are correct that the rebate is $4,000, if you use BMW finance. However, in the cash quotes you took photos of, the discount will reduce by $3,500. Cash rebate gets replaced by ARP Credit of $2,500 and Loyalty of $1,000. In this scenario USAA rebate reduces from $2,000 to $500. Keep in mind the Cash Rebate in the quotes, shows in the discount line.

In effect, your bottom line, b/c your are a USAA member will be higher $1,500 plus tax higher than the quotes you were given yesterday if you finance with BMW F.S., and take advantage of 0.9% for 60 mo."

That is a damn good deal. 14% off MSRP! Wish the northwest dealerships weren't as stingy. I'd take that deal all day. Helps with the drive off the lot depreciation lol.

I calculated a total of about 17% off after incentives but I've read about people getting 20% total

It really all depends on timing and the virus has really disrupted the timing. If you are patient and can wait awhile to get a new car, I would wait for 2021s to hit the dealer lots. I would think 20% would be more obtainable for existing 2020s. But if you are in need of a car now and it has all the options you want, 17% after incentives is a great deal. Especially with the current financing offers.

My local dealership offered 6% plus incentives but I just live in a crappy part of the country to buy BMWs I guess.

Thank you for your response. I agree I think if I wait for things to normalize and the release of 2021's, I could more likely get a higher discount. Not really in a rush, but I'm wondering what BMW will do with the incentives since those definitely impact my likeliness to obtain a larger discount. First world problems lol.

That’s a great deal! I am in New England, was offered “best deal” 7% off pre incentives off ,( for X6 lease ). I found an X6 M sport X40i in Upstate NY , almost 11% off MSRP ,Signed the paperwork last week, now waiting for the car because RMVs in my state are only taking reservations for registration and for an out of state dealer it’s even a little harder.

Same experience in New England, I’ve decided to do nothing, returning current lease and not replacing. Given current situation, car getting little use and decided see if can live without. If I’d been able to get to 9% I would have done it, net result is dealer gets nothing from me, at least for now.
