Cool Tailored Sheepskin seat covers on my X5

Just wanted to share my tailored sheepskin seat covers which I had made for my X5 specifically. I went for a curly wool option which is more durable and doesn't change its appearance over wear.

I took a pattern for my seats so they fit perfectly snug and are airbag compatible.

They also do not cover the side seat adjustment buttons, and the thigh supports still extend in and out as they are covered by a separate piece of sheepskin.

Also helps with reducing wear and tear from the side bolsters when getting in and out of the car.

Made using Australian sheepskin in Melbourne.

I'm in the sheepskin industry in Australia. Sheepskin is a great product as they don't feel hot in summer or cold in winter.

Pics below for anyone interested.

So.. if you’re posting for feedback:

1) super not my thing, but good news, it’s not my car!
2) the fitment looks superb, kudos
3) it would be 100000% better if it were dyed black

Thanks for the feedback guys, thought the support would have been higher!

We make a number of tailored sheepskin seat covers for our customers in Australia.
I chose the grey for a different look, could have gone with a charcoal grey. Might look at it later on down the track.

Aside from the aesthetics, they are very comfortable especially in our current winter climate as they don't feel freezing cold when getting in.

Perhaps it's more an Australian thing!

Thanks all

In the winter we regularly get -30C and never ever had I felt the seats being freezing cold. I doubt you guys get anything even remotely that cold in the winter. Besides, tats why you got heated seats for.

I think like you mention people in Europe or at least in Belgium are not looking to cover their seats with sheepskin.

That aside. I can see that you put a lot of work in it and it is done professionally. Looks like a perfect fit. So bravo for that.

And I can understand your passion for sheepskin if that is you do.

I'd be interesting if you would make a bespoke sheepskin (lamb wool) floor mat like the RR.

We do, and we've made them for a few of our customers in the past.
As long as we have a mat to take a pattern, we can cut out using our sheepskin hides and sew up.

My seat covers pictured above are a bit different to our usual seat covers. Generally you'll find the sheepskin used in my car upholstered on Scandinavian furnitures.

Thanks for your kind words - only just saw this now!
Indeed, I have a strong passion for sheepskin here in Australia. It's what pays for my X5

That would be cool with Merino leather seats. I used to have the lamb wool floor mats in a jag I had many years ago. Very luxurious with cream leather…hard to keep clean though.

That actually seems super cozy. Never saw sheepskin used this way before.

Very nice who gives AF what others think but I would want black or natural. Cheers, Cunt. (That means I love you in Australian)

My Grandmother is rising out of her grave to sit in those seats.
