Something like this should remove the CEL.
I have used spacers on some cars. All I will say is good luck with this vehicle. I am not sure you have the room and this DME is finicky.

Good info. I cannot imagine there is any way to avoid a CEL without a tune to remove it.
https://www.fabspeed.com/universal-9...nverters-pair/
Something like this should remove the CEL.
Spacers DO NOT fit on the G05. They do however fit on the G30. This has been confirmed. Too many heat shields in the G05.
Only way to effectively remove CEL is with a flash tune. I reckon BimmerCode or OBD2 reader would only be a temporary fix..

It may disappear for two or three days, but it's bound to come back.

They didn’t code it out with their flash? They can code that out with the flash. I would bring that up to them.

The strange thing is that they did it in the tune, so the ECU should not read values from the unexisting cat. I am 2400kms away from them, but they sent a tool to do some rolling logs and do a V2 tune

So you didn't have to do a bench flash? Wow, that would be HUGE news!

I think he got bench unlocked already, so now he can flash via OBD.

So if you update the car software via BWM after, does it OBD2 relock?

Fitment was ok, I think one bracket was off and need to be adjusted. I only went with fi because they have catted version. If you want catless don't buy from fi (priced too high).

Not via OBD, but they created their own tool which you plug directly into the ECU's slots without removing it from the car or "open" it

So this is called the B-flash master? Do we know if other shops have one yet? DME? RK-Tunes?

I think it's an adaptation of bFlash in order to connect directly to the ECU:

I'll be reaching out to DME to see if they could adopt something similar.
