UK - Instrument panel and navigation screen protector

Anyone in UK ordered screen protectors from Amazon UK and happy with the product? Looking for references to purchase a set.

Do you really need them on a car display? Even though it's a touch screen, it's hard to see how you would scratch them with just your fingers...

Purchased for my G05 and G07 on Ali Express.
The brand was RUIYA and they were top quality.

TBH I don't see the point unless you're heavy handed and clumsy. It's not like you're going to drop them like a phone. Never had an issue on any of my BMW screens.

Am somewhat in between on this one. On one side does seem a overkill and on another I do want to avoid micro scratches due to use and cleaning...

Oh absolutely.

Have them on both screens.

In fact, they seem to make the displays appear more vivid, somehow.

Actually got it for both screens, but the instrument display proved to have too much glare. Useful on the Nav display - it's a touchscreen and could get scratches, but the instrument display is already a frosted anti-glare panel that only gets touched when cleaning.

I remember AndroidRobot had pointed out the reflection part in one of his posts. Since it is not something I would touch (except when cleaning) will put it and see if it works for me. If not then will remove it.

That's actually what I did with mine. I installed both and drove for a couple of weeks, but the glare was just too distracting on the instrument cluster. Pretty easy to remove, so no harm in trying it out. Good luck!

I have the protectors on both as well. Except for increased glare, didn't have any trouble with instrument display (and glare isn't too bad for me, so I've left it on). For the nav/entertainment display, I went through 2 vendors and 3 or 4 protectors. The base quality of all the protectors was good, but packaging of them was repeatedly careless, bending a corner inside the package before I even opened them and preventing adhesion on 3 of the 4 packages. That's my only caution — open them immediately on receipt to see if you need to return or exchange while you can.

I also have a magnetic phone mount attached to the corner of my nav display, in the section where there is no display on the trim panel. The stock screen has a coating that prevents reliable 3M tape adhesion, but the protectors work great. Just needs 24-48h "cure" time and then my heavy iPhone XR is held solid by the very strong magnetic mount and it's 3M tape attachment to the protector corner.

I ended up ordering this one and the fitment is 100%
Very easy install. There is def. a lot more glare coming from the nav screen but so far not enough to annoy me. The trade off is that somehow it makes the screen more sharp/vivid compared to the matte screen without the protector. It would be perfect if they came out with one that is semi matte.

Glossy displays appear more vivid, so you can't have the increased 'vividity' with a matte finish protector.
