Probably zero chance they will fit.

I can't speak for certain wrt to the calipers, although I would think the mounting holes alone for the caliper assy. would be different.

For the rotors, they definitely will not fit. All G05 & F95 use a PCD (bolt pattern) of 5x112. Previous generations use a 5x120 PCD. Pretty sure the hub bore is different as well - G05 is 66.56 while 2011 X5M is 74.1

fwiw, apparently even current gen X5Ms have rotors that are not compatible with the G05. Some people have said the X3M rotors will fit, but I have no personal experience with that.

You can put F95 X5M brakes on the G05 fairly easily.

That said, using those old X5M brakes would likely require some hefty custom fabrication work to get them to fit. Certainly could be done... But why?

Why would you want to?

13 year old M brakes is still 13 year old tech, and built for a much lighter vehicle - the G05 M Sport brakes would perform better in the application.

And the e70 X5M was one of those weird models like the e71 X6 & X6M where the front wheels have a 74.1mm hub and the rear has a 72.56mm hub.

Skipping back 2 generations its going to be hard to find things that are going to be plug-n-play.

Brakes aren't exactly an area with major innovation and technology improvements. Brake caliper construction hasn't changed ged much in like, 30 plus years. Brakes are just bigger now.overall, as are vehicles. Pad formulations have improved, and CCB has become a more popular thing, but it's not like it's had some major improvement in disk brake tech over the years.

These particular brakes are a) heavy as f..k, and b) don't offer anything outstanding even compared to the stock G05 4-piston brakes.

There's a reason they are dirt cheap (relatively speaking).

But what do the 2011 M brakes offer over the G05 M Sport brakes to justify the work of changing is my point?

They were good on the lighter X cars of the time, and may be adequate on today's heavier X5, but seriously why would anyone choose to go through the hassle to retrofit them? What are they offering?

I totally agree, it's not worth the hassle. But if has the M.brakesnon hand, and his G05 has base brakes, it might be an upgrade, but probably not cost effective since it sounds like he's not the master fabricator needed to make it happen.
