Yeah, our dealer updated ours from .23 to .49 and I wish we could go back to .23. It was less buggy than .49! Not going to bother with any more updates until "the big one" is released...hopefully soon!

I guess BMW didn't get the memo about basic regression test suite concepts FROM 50 YEARS AGO that let you update software reliably and not break other stuff. At least these systems aren't life critical... oh wait...

I sure am. When I know that there is newer, less buggy software out there I am going to try to make it happen. I went from .30 with very minor bugs to not getting weather and News. |

I do yes, 100%. Are you running iOS 12.1.4?

I thought file size was the reason they implemented it in the way they did. It has to download to your phone completely before you can start the upgrade. Would allow for you to use your home internet to download some pretty large files and transfer over the car's WiFi.

You think dealers would charge for this? Unless you give them a my car is having issues story. I would really like to have functioning corner lights, if they enable them in that update.

This is my first BMW so I don't know for sure but I was under the impression that any updates like this are done for free.

I've seen them do it with service intervals, but my next service at 10,000 miles is way out. If you have a weird bug they will definitely do it. I'm not sure if they will do it for free because you ask.
