Anyone put a black grill on their Phytonic M Sport and have a photo? Thinking about it...

I am going to do it, the chrome just doesn't look right with the rest of the styling and black trim, I always put black grills on the msport, was just waiting for a cheaper option or OEM option, but the 200 china one is pretty nice, so may do that.

Great shot of the Phytonic blue and black grill. I am considering a 2020 X5 with Tanzanite II with the extended shadow line trim and the 22inch 742M black wheels. I think this would give me the black grill, tailpipes and black trim around the windows and roof rail. Would love to see this whole package in a photo. Do you think this would be too much black?

Nice! I’ve got Carbon Black with the 2019 M Sport package and the 20” M Sport wheels. I’d like to buy the OEM Shadowline grill and exhaust ports along with those same 742M 22 inch black wheels. Doesn’t sound like too much black at all to me.

Check with your dealer, but I think the extended shadow line option includes the black grill among other black trim items. Let me know if I am misunderstanding the 2020 guides published in May.

That pic above would be mine. In my mind, the black grille was a no brainer. I couldn't stand the look of the chrome grille. I ordered mine off of ebay from Korea (I think) a few months ago with info I got off of this forum. Shockingly it was at my doorstep within 4 days. Super easy to install.

I have just ordered an M50D in Phytonic Blue with option 7M9 "BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line with extended contents"

This is a new option for the 2020 models and includes the Kidney grill frame and struts, Air Breather and tailpipe finishers in Black Chrome.

Due for delivery in early September, so will post a photo then ... Can't wait!

Taiwan, this one, many of us have this one and have long forgotten about BMW's long-time coming promise of a black grill.

Maybe also a good idea to check the configuration build online. With option 7M9 you get the black grill. This in addition to the pics you will find in the forum itself.

I don't think it's too much black. But it might come down to personal preference. Here's mine with my winter wheels. Similar idea but not the same ones you are considering.
