Because I really want an M2 CSL.. just make it the same as the OG M2 safety car .. delete the decals , make it in black, or maybe even marina bay blue .. and 6MT. That's all I ask ..

too bad the rumors are pointing towards only the CS. BMW needs to make another CSL hopefully based on the M2 and not upcoming M3

$125k fully loaded is what I'm thinking. The X5 50i tops out at $102K and the previous generation hit $110k so I doubt it will be excessively more.

The M5 is proper sports sedan for the times. Obviously it lacks a manual but I absolutely love M5's. That will be my next car if I can convince the wife to let me not drive an SUV (she hates sedans and coupes) and I move to a place with real roads lol I treat drove both the M5 and M5 Comp, it's still a heavy sedan but the power makes you forget about that cut to me getting a ticket going 185mph...

I think the point of this article is interesting. Even for trained drivers - it could be too much HP.
Believe me I love fast cars and power but the trend seems to go crazy.
At some point in order to harness all that power and weight the car needs to rely on computers to put it down and take control away from the human.
So track driving with all systems tuned off (how i was trained) becomes the way of the past.
We must rely on computers and isolation to harness the power.


2.8 sec is insane for 5000 lb car

Plus one would think - on the street wouldn't you like to go through some training before handing keys to 600+ HP 5000 pound car to wealthy 20 year olds?

I agree to an extent but cars like the M5 and X5M need to exist. We are on the verge of losing these beauties to history within the next 50 years which is going to be sad. Most people don't even use a fraction of that power and merely want the status of owning such vehicles. I love the M5 for many reasonss, let's hope these don't go away anytime soon!

The M5 is 4370lbs, not 5000, my X5 50i is ~5200lbs
