Nice! When is your estimated completion date per the automated system? Typically assembly begins a day before that date and all is done on the estimated completion date. My estimated completion date was today and it is right on schedule!
I'm in Canada so we don't have access to much. This is what I have last from my SA on the 13th. I called BMW Canada today and they said they won't know anything until it's finished production.
Do you have a VIN?
Yup I do.
You're not able to check the My Garage using your VIN for specific status updates? If not, I'm happy to check for you if you'd like.

bluzbra where is your ride ? my fellow xLiners you and araje went silent all of sudden.

Here is an interesting thing about my first build. It was visible in dealer website until yesterday. As soon as status changed to awaiting carrier assignment, it disappeared on their website. They sold it before even it made it ? They wanted to piss me off so that they can sell it it others, as this is a new dealership running low on xDrive allocations. But that quick ?

Still waiting, ChickinX5. It was "Dispatched from Factory" on Friday (2/21) and put on a train yesterday (2/24). I anticipate it will take a week or so until it gets to the Oxnard, CA VPC, and then from there a few days to get to the dealer (which is less than 50 miles from the VPC).

Funny thing about my first build. It's at the dealer now and still in their inventory per their website, but no photos on the website of it. I was curious what the car looked like, so I sneakily had some photos of the car sent my way I have to say, it was big time tease knowing a car I built is sitting at the dealer waiting for someone else to buy it. But, I keep reminding myself that a new and better one is almost here.

Update: Moved to "In Transit" on MyGarage last night and BMW NA customer service now advising the ETA to the Oxnard VPC is March 5, 2020 (in a week). And from there another 2-3 days possibly until it gets to the dealer. So expecting delivery either next weekend or the weekend after, but not absolutely confirmed yet. Exciting times!

I am reordering my 2020 X5 and wanted to get some recommendations. I am going with the Exec. package, driver assistance package HK sound, spare tire, luxury seating. Contemplating the following options. Glass controls, towing-not currently towing anything but thinking ahead, acoustic package, M-sport brakes. The issue is the bottom line total which just keeps getting higher as I add these options. I am also thinking about resale value however the extra options don't usually have a lot of bearing in the resale. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I am also trying to keep this at 75K or less.

The parking assistance package is part of the Executive package so you don't have to order that.

If you're trying to save money I'd recommend trying to figure out what's most important to you — ie ride comfort...luxury feel...etc. the acoustic glass makes for a much nicer, quieter ride and I think it's a great upgrade.

I love the glass controls but that could be something you skip if you're looking to cut costs and don't think it'd add much to the interior.

I have the standard brakes and they're fine.

Car is supposed to arrive at Oxnard VPC today! Hoping for delivery this weekend, though it will likely end up being next weekend. March program was much more favorable for us though. The 2% residual bump on the sDrive40i helped us. Brought the payment down $30.

Final deal:

MSRP: $74,920
Selling Price: $67,075 (~10.5%; before incentives)
Incentives: $2,250 ($1,000 lease credit, $1,250 loyalty)
Term/Mileage: 36/12 (56% residual)
MSDs: None
MF: 0.00142
Due at Signing: $5,000 ($4,300 for the car + $700 for Ultimate Care+)
Payment: $823/month (9.5% LA tax included)

Technically, I end up effectively paying only $3,000 for signing ($1,000 comes back from the post-purchase CCA rebate and $1,000 gets credited to our CC accounts from bonus points for two new CC's we signed up for ($500 each).

Excellent Deal. Lease credit went up to 1000 just in time for you.

Thank you! The lease credit for the sDrive40i actually came down by $500. It used to be $1500 lease credit + $1250 loyalty, but for March it changed to $1000 lease credit + $1250 loyalty. But since the residual value went up 2% (approx. $1,500 based on my $75k MSRP build), I still effectively gained $1,000 towards my entire deal.

Just now moved to "In Transit" (for the second time) on My Garage - BMW NA just confirmed it is going from the Oxnard VPC to my dealership, which is less than 50 miles away. I'm expecting a call from my SA hopefully today confirming arrival. This is exciting!

Looks awesome, congrats! Quick question, did your dealer let you stack loyalty and the lease credit in March? I’m trying to order one but the dealer told me I couldn’t stack the two.

Enjoy picking up your new ride tomorrow!

Thanks! Yes the loyalty rebate and the lease credit for March are stackable and he is applying both to my deal. To my knowledge those two have always been stackable - not sure why your dealer is saying they are not!
