Jonjo001, how do you like the aluminum inserts trim so far? Is it holding up well? Is it easily scratchable?

Yup, I was told the same thing, backordered for the 20" Pirelli Winter assembly and stop sale for the 20" all terrain assembly (US). And I can't believe tire rack has nothing.

Gonna be a problem here in CT soon. Makes me nervous. We have a merc gl350 diesel with all seasons which are okay, but hopefully g05 winter set comes in soon. Shit, they cost 4K so let's go! Lol.

BMW seems to always underestimate the need for winter assemblies in the US. You could always go for the 19" assembly which are readily available, but they are really weak looking IMHO! I'm more shocked by the lack of anything at TR. It's funny how the winter wheel thread is dominated by our Canadian friends up north. Obviously they have a lot more options, but there are only like two or three Yankees showing off their setups. Haha

I'm really pleased with the choice if these inserts. They appear to be a dead flat finish, with some slight texture to them and whilst I have been generally careful with the whole new car thing, there are no marks/scratches and of course no finger prints.

I was thinking that but our car has the larger m calipers and there is rim figment issue.

Hate conflicting info. 3mm sounds awful close. I am going to measure my f86 and see how close they are. Perhaps there is some heat dissipation issue plus inner wheel debris clearance to consider. Like snow inside wheel?

When I was shopping for winter setups, Evan at GetBMWParts confirmed these will work, as does shopbmw website. They're just too ugly IMO, and for the price, not cheap!

(The forum makes me post a reply before I can create a new thread for my actual question, so here we go)

Just ordered a X5 45e here in Norway, delivery in April. These pictures makes the wait a bit easier, thanks! Mine will be in arctic grey with BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line with extended contents (7M9) and BMW Individual extended leather trim 'Merino' Coffee. Thanks for a great forum!!

It rained constantly during my PCD trip also. The staff viewed it as an advantage since they wet the round track anyway and it enhanced the other activities. They also provide umbrellas.
