The stages of waiting for PCD on the X5 M50i you ordered

I ordered an X5 M50 last year for PCD in late January and I have noticed going through the following stages. It isn't a linear progression, I bounce around, but I hit them all. Let me know if I missed any.

1. Giddy Joy: Hooray, I am so excited for my car
2. Disappointment: Wow, that is a long time to wait for it to be built
3. Denial: It won't feel like that long
4. Doubt: Did I make a mistake? Should I have bought something off the lot?
5. Regret: Why did I spend so much on this car I don't even have yet? I should have bought a Mazda!
6. Magical thinking: This car will fix all of my problems
7. Despondency: It will be 3.5 million years before I can get my car
EDIT: 8. Regret 2: Why didn't I order options X, Y, and Z?

Spam: MyGarage everyday for weeks, "why isn't it scheduled for production yet!?!?!"

More Spam: Calls BMW Genius weekly

Relief: F'YEAH VIN!!!

More Despondency: Uhhh my "insert option here" isn't listed

Ultimate Joy: Pulling up to PDC to see your vehicle in the delivery bay

8. Expectations: Once I get this car, it will be the best car I ever bought, and will keep it for “X” years - longer than any car I previously owned.

Picking mine up next Friday at the PCD and have experienced all these emotions.

However now that the car is paid for and production "finished" it's just a waiting game until my PCD date. We need to include that emotion. A sense of melancholy because the process that has brought so many highs and lows is coming to an end.

This is very true. In a very real way I miss the buying process.

I’m in stage -1: Ready order but trying to lock in options/deals. No money out of pocket yet but mentally cashed that check.

Yeah well imagine placing your order, getting your PCD scheduled for late Jan and then realizing the dealer ordered the wrong trim for your car the day before Christmas. And then having to reorder a car but dealer hasn't yet bc they claim they can't submit until the factory reopens.... I'm honestly over it and have lost all that initial excitement.

Is there a law of physics that says that the closer you get to PCD the slower time goes? I am now under two weeks and the days are dragggging.
