How the first X5 was designed.

A fascinating watch.

for those who watched it, he constantly mentions designing the car so it stays true to the BMW brand and identity. Where was that thought when the designers were creating the new 4? And even the current batch of cars? Gone is the hofmeister kink and gone are the hard body lines on the car. I'm all for evolution, but please stay true to the cars identity!!!!!

The challenge is that other car makers have radically pushed their designs, seeing acceptance in the public’s eyes. I am OK with the bold grill on the 4 as long as it stays on the 4! If fact because of it’s uniqueness, I may actually replace my 2011 328 with one in the next 2 years. People complained about size of the X5 grill, but I love it as it gives it a more authoritative presence.
