I also live in MN. Planning to do the similar steps as you did. Do you mind sharing which dealer in the Midwest offered you the best pricing? Thanks! |

I had gone into this with a little bit different mindset. Since I travel and had been looking for the past year (ok 3) I really noticed mostly in the used market much more competitive pricing outside MN. With Covid and more time available time i decided to jump on the very best I could get new or used. A $300 plane ticket and a cross the country drive sounded like a great way to spend a day or two. Although with financing and negotiation the new was clearly the best option. I really wanted HK sound. Very few used new had that, so the bundling of that with premium in the 2021 helped a bit. Adding in new i can do the exact build I want, zero miles, full maintenance and warranty im still surprised how high the used go for (granted i didn't fully complete a negotiation). Plus I had a 2012 S60 that the order allowed me time to sell outright. It sold in 2 days fir twice the trade. Again another Covid plus we can manage without a 3rd car while the build occurs. It will make X5 all the more of a step up as i drive my daughters avenger while I wait Mineral White Cognac Mate Brown Anthracite Trim Premium Package Parking Assistance pkg Heated seat Running boards Hitch |

There is some difference between what is public on BMWUSA site and how actually the dealership operates. It seems the dealership has some wiggle room, not the incentive amount but how to apply them. When I started to shop around MY2021 in early Aug, I was told I can lock in the incentives but I said that those incentives were for MY2020. I was told it doesn't matter without the details. One dealer replied saying the incentives are extended to MY2021. I think that is what the dealership is allowed to do but is not public information. At the dealership I actually placed my order, I was told I had $2500 finance credit and $1000 loyalty (even I just sold my BMW a couple of months ago). This is exactly the same as FLYIN' said. I didn't question that CA. He worked there for 20+ years and I trust what he said and did. By the way, the BMWUSA says $500 Loyalty/ Conquest Certificate. My understanding is either you get Loyalty or Conquest incentive so only $500 is available. I noticed many dealership advised this way. But I feel dealership is able to get both for customer. I guess dealership knows this but keep it in last minute price negotiation. So, my guess is dealership has some wiggle room in pricing that is not public and can't be public - the manufacture simply gives the dealership some additional power and incentive to sell the car. I think no body will complain in the end that the dealership gives better deal than what is public. |

Just placed a custom order for a 45e. 10% off before incentives and the dealer does not charge any dealer handling or document fees, which is usually another $600 or $700 here in CO.
I do have a question for the folks, who used the USAA/Penfed incentive. From what my SA can tell reading the fine print, once I use the $3,250 Penfed certificate I cannot use BMW financing and thus I would not get any other incentive like the APR credit (there is none this month for 45e but could be different by the time I am taking delivery) or conquest/loyalty or the 0.9% special APR. Was this the case for you too when using the Penfed incentive? When I shopped around last month, I did receive quotes showing that the APR credit can be stacked with the Penfed incentive but maybe they have changed the terms this month? |

Your dealer is correct. If you use the full PenFed incentive of $3,250 then you can't use the BMW financing incentive. What is stackable is the $500 (or what er the current amount is) PenFed/USAA incentive for when BMW financing is used. It should be shown on the bottom of the certificate. This has always been the rules as far as I know although someone mentioned getting both earlier this year but never heard the final outcome of that.
Edit: The rules are still the same, $500 when using BMW Finance for a loan or lease. Last edited by TurtleBoy; 09-13-2020 at 09:02 AM.. |

Thanks, that was actually an offer for an inventory unit that I passed on last month since the dealer discount wasn't what I wanted. I have just placed a custom order for %10 dealer discount before incentives. The incetive amounts on the screenshot were all for purchase only...

What percent discounts for 2021 X5 xdrive in Florida
What are the lease credits currently for sept 2020 for the 2021 X5 xdrive 4.0? It looks like only 500.00, but is there loyalty credits for previous bmw customers? In the south Florida region what is a reasonable discount for an ordered car?

I heard from dealers that there are currently no incentives for 2021 X5. Will see more incentives in Dec. I have two leases that are expiring in Dec end. Currently still making up mind whether to go with x40 or x45e? |

It just takes some grinding, I called/emailed pretty much every dealer in the NE. Wound up at 10% a couple NJ dealers, 11% at one but their doc fee is high. Dealer in MA says they will match or beat the 11%. Waiting on them before I sign in NJ. This is all for a 2021 40i build. I'll post here after I sign with names. |

Any reason why you are going with 40i? I have two leases to replace in Dec. My current 2018 40e is POS. Drive train error every day. Now two months left and throw this POS. Debating should I go with new 45e or 40i? Interested to hear your POV. |

Currently no fleet incentive for 21 X5 for lease or finance, only for cash purchase. Dealer sent me a screenshot of the matrix today.

Car is for my wife/family duty, it's the logical choice. M50 isn't necessary and 45e seems like a bunch of complication (as your car now proves) with no real benefit.

If I remember correctly, very few, if any, incentives will stack with the fleet discount. Without that, PenFed/USAA will stack since they are considered military incentives. Edit: Looking at the Corporate sales site the PenFed is not mentioned so that may stack as well as any APR/lease that is available. Loyalty will not stack. |
