21 X5 M50i order delays

I just put in a order today for an X5 M50i. I noticed on the website (only see it on desktop, not mobile) that merino leather can extend build time up to 10 weeks. Has anyone experienced delays who ordered the merino leather ?

I ordered merino on my 21 and it was order to dealer in 4 weeks.

Starting almost a year ago they put up the warning that individual options could add up to 10 weeks to the production time but I don't think we have had anyone report that it happened to them. Hopefully that continues.

I ordered an M50i on Aug 26th w/merino, and Tanzanite Blue, which was supposed to hold it up 8-10 weeks, but it's already done and on the way to us in FL. It sat at "production begins" until 4 days ago. It progressed quickly after that. Since it's going from SC to FL, I'm not sure it's going to a port. Wish our M240i we ordered would be this quick.

Mine started production last week, Merino Leather.

I thought there was going to be a delay as well but looks like that may not be the case. Might be starting to pick up a bit, fingers crossed you get your soon!

Ours just arrived at the dealer this morning! It went quicker than expected. Only took two weeks. Dealer was able to get one about to built and customized it to our specifications. We're out of town and can't get it until Wednesday.

I can't wait!

I just ordered an M50i this morning. It was a week 39 build allocation and as soon as they marked it as a sold order, it changed to week 38. That sounded good until I looked at the calendar and found out it is next week! I am very excited, this will be our first BMW.
