BMW X5 and X6 Off-road Review

Here is a video off-road review with the X5 and X6 compared to other luxury SUVs. Unfortunately BMW doesn’t perform well here. But at least they got the 4x4 look right.

Based on the off-road course at the BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg, I expected the BMWs to do much better. The biggest difference between this test and the Spartanburg course is the loose sand. The Spartanburg course has more difficult obstacles, but it is rocks and no sand.

I think the tires used made a big difference. The x6 had pilot alpine pa5's. I don't know how they are as a snow tire but I'd imagine the I-ice snow would've performed better in this test

Maybe, but the aggressive spinning of the wheels that have lost traction does not inspire confidence.
