Good luck getting the pod bay doors open.

We chose ‘Bosco’ (the name of a beloved dog we lost 18 months ago); it doesn’t come up in normal conversation, and it’s easy for us in-the-know to recall.

I think there's an option to turn off the cloud processing of your voice commands, which of course would make it more limited, but would be faster.

I believe I saw that, would probably make it not work to a high degree as mentioned. AT&T is really bad here and that's who BMW uses for service

I can't find the "personal keyword" anymore. Is this because the software update?

No, it should still be there. I set mine the other day. In addition to going into iDrive to do it you can do "Hey BMW .... Set wake word".

We originally added a wake word because it kept activating any time it heard the "B" word, which actually happened a lot driving a "B" vehicle. The problem is you STILL have to keep "Hey BMW" to use voice activation, so no real benefit for us, except cuteness. Take a lesson from Amazon - when I change the wake word it no longer answers to "Alexa."

^ Yes, it wakes quite often by accident. I think there should be a check box for “Use BMW as a wake word”. This way the driver has a choice of using the standard with the personal.

wait I got all excited about this feature till I realized you couldn't get it to stop responding to "hey BMW". that's sort of dumb. I'm sure the marketing department made them leave that in.
