they will tell you but to confirm they will give you a production number. No production number no allocation. I like to assume most sales rep won't BS you about allocation however it DOES happen so now you know what to ask for

My dealer told if I made the order during weekend, they cannot give the production number on that day because it is weekend but it will be given shortly after. Does this sound legit?

Possibly the person who does the ordering for the dealership doesn't work weekends. I was negotiating with the manager who does the ordering and he brought it up on the computer, configured my car and gave me the production order number while I was sitting at his desk.

give them the benefit of the doubt, if they give it you monday or tuesday then you should be good. I doubt and I like to think, dealers are not BS'n you however, it does happen that's why you just have to make sure you get the info you need so you know. production number and estimated build date. Also always get full breakdown of the deal, especially if you lease, and always get it in writing and you will be good to go my friend. Again most sales reps I like to think are good people but always do your own work to make sure

One more qq. When would I expect to know the build week for my order? Is it when I receive the prod number?

Yes, though mine moved up a week as soon as they marked the allocation as a sold order.
